We were toted off in separate directions after that. The swim there was boring, other than the fact that the farther we swam, the darker it got. When we finally got there, I thought of the Underworld. I don't know why, I just...did.

It had dark Greek pillars and looked a lot like Greek ruins, except it was all black. Sharks circled overhead. Merfolk with dark tails and pale complexions swam around aimlessly like ghosts. The gaurd, Dalton, had yanked me up onto his horse and we were currently riding sidesaddle towards a large temple-lookin' thing.

Soon we arrived. He dumped me off his horse. "See ya around, princess." I scowled. I heard a loud voice calling my name.

"Vanessa!" I would have gotten whiplash if we hadn't been underwater. I saw a woman who looked a lot like me, but prettier. She had long, wavy black hair, dark eyes, and a pale complexion, but she also had an AMAZING tail.

It was black, but had grey diamond trellises coming off. She had scales that shimmered in the lights, which came from seashell sconces.

Se wore a long shirt that came down to her thighs, or what would be if she had legs. On top it was grey covered in tiny grey rhinestones. It was gauzy and grey on bottom too, and her skirt billowed out and was semi-mesmerizing. The two parts were held together with a black stain belt. Then I noticed she wore a grey and black circlet holding her wavy black hair in place. It was flowery, and made me smile. Then I realized she had called me.

"Should I know you..."

"No... But I do." She was starting to freak me out.

"Who are you?" She sighed like she was bracing herself.

"Your mother."
