Vanessa's POV🌑💗
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow your roll there, pal." She was about to blast me! She calmed down and laughed. "So. We're mermaids." I said.
"I know!" She squealed. She was just too optimistic about everything. But she had good reason to be. She was girl who was popular at school. Tan legs and arms, long, platinum blonde hair and sea blue eyes that captured you like a siren and dropped you into a whirlpool of emotions. At least, according to one of the many love letters that were dropped into her locker daily.
Me? I was the girl everyone would make fun of if I weren't the popular girl's BFF. I've had semi-popular girls give me enough dirty looks to make a normal person crumble to the ground. I have long black hair, pale skin, and the only letters i get in my locker are death threats. I really don't get it.
"So I see you've found out." Said a voice too close for comfort.
