I apologise.
For my heart is sometimes smaller than people think.
My intentions are sometimes worse.
My soul is sometimes hollow
The pattern on my fingertips aren't what everyone believes
For in the home I call my mind,
I am the darkness that no one else can see
Because I swallowed the key to this house when I lift my lips into a smile
A smile that used to be real
But a shadow has found its way to me
And my chest begins to pulse
And my intentions are clouded by uncertainty and euphoria
And my soul is full of the truth I used to be.
