destination

For the first time ever
I decided to sit down
Both mentally and physically
I calmed the biggest waves coming up on tide crashing into my mental
I rested the legs carrying the world around my burdened ankles
I sat down and watched the stars and thought,
Will it ever be enough?

Listen
Ear to ear you hear the cars go past
And you can lay upon the pavement watch the cars go fast
Because its easier
To dream of a dream that you know that you don't believe but still you smile to make it seem that you achieved
But do you ever feel fulfilled?
You always need that next step
Take a picture say you're proud delete it and onto the next
Because every day you wake up feel that hollowness inside your chest
And every day you wake up and feel like you're not doing your best
And its hard you know?
Its not easy to not be able to take a moment and just pause for a second
Now I'm driving on the motor way and every one around me is speeding and I can't stop because those behind me will crash into this vehicle
I failed to mention that I'm running out of gas in this vehicle
So I'll hop out the car
And I'll sprint to the destination
Resilience is my destination
Patience is my destination
Even feeling content with who I am is my destination
So as you all nod your heads along to the words I'm saying,
Let's all stop for gas and help each other get to the destination.
