Lucas Pov:
I looked at the alarm clock I'm the nightstand and it was 12 on the dot.
"Happy birthday baby girl." I said smiling.
"Thank you." She said then pecked my lips.
"I gotta surprise for you downstairs." I said w/ a smirk then she raised a brow.
"What is it?" She said smiling.
"Come on." I said getting out the bed as she did the same. "I gotta cover up your eyes." I added as she walked up towards me as I opened the door.
"Oh my gosh." She said as I put my hands over her eyes and guided her to the living room where her surprise was. I removed my hands from her hands as she ran to hug her sisters.
"Oh my gosh." She said all happy as she hugged them. "Y'all look so pretty." She added.
"Happy birthday, sis." The oldest one out of the two said which name was Talia.
"Yea, Happy birthday." The other one said whose name was Calia.
"Thanks y'all." She said wiping the tear that formed up in her eyes.
"You crying and you haven't even got to open your gifts yet." Talia said while laughing. "But look behind you." Talia added. Ayanna turned around and seen her long lost brother, James.
"Happy birthday babygirl." He said as she ran into his arms. Seeing her happy made me happy.
"Oh my gosh, it's been years." She said wiping her tears.
"17 years." He said w/ a chuckle. "Here you go." He said handing her, her gift. She walked over to the couch and sat down. She grabbed a picture frame out the bag and in the picture frame was a picture when they was kids. She dug deeper in the bag and brought out a pink little book, looked kinda like a diary.
"I know this not my diary." She said then he started laughing.
"I needed something to remember you by, you wasn't talking bout shit in it but damn cartoons." He said causing us all to laugh.
"Anyways." She said playfully rolling her eyes and grabbed a small box out the bag which revealed a gold bracelet.
"Happy birthday, I know it's not a lot but damn I didn't know what you like I haven't spoken to you since I was 8." He said hugging her.
"You good, I'm just glad I get to spend my birthday with you." She said hugging him back.
"Ok, maybe he can move in with you because I'm already tired of him." Talia said rolling her eyes.
Ayanna Pov:
What you mean? I thought you was staying with Uncle Toney?" I said now looking at James.
"Yea, I moved back in with dad like 2 or 3 weeks ago. I was planning on surprising you on your birthday." He said smiling.
"Well you can't move in with me anyways, I don't even got my own house yet." I said while laughing.
"Yea, I went by mama's house but she wasn't there. And her neighbors said she went to rehab. What's that about?" He questioned. Talia and Calia doesn't supposed to know about my mama being in rehab because I know they're going to tell my dad, and I would've had to tell him everything.
