Chapter 3: Zel to Tell

Helllloooo Guys!!!! im back with another chapter of Ever. So in this chapter i finally introduce Rapunzel or as she likes to be called, Zel. You will see how their friendship truly is and how they are best friends. Also, you will see through the life of Rapunzel and her mother. 

i hope you guys have enjoyed reading my story so far!

3rd Person POV

"A ball, really Ella!" Zel asked excitedly to her best friend. It was close to midnight now and Cinderella was at the tower with Rapunzel. This was the only time her she could talk to Rapunzel because it the time where her evil step sisters and evil step mother are asleep. She would usually visit Zel at least 3-4 times a week. She would have liked to do it more often but of course she couldn't. Right now Cinderella has just finished telling her of what happened in her day, well except the Dimitri part because she herself didn't know what she felt about that.

"Yes really and they are inviting all eligible maidens to attend it for the prince to pick his bride" Cinderella told her best friend with disgust.

"Well, you should attend you're an eligible maiden and I'm sure the prince would definitely pick you to be his bride. I mean you're the most beautiful girl I have ever seen." Zel complements her best friend. Not that she would have anyone to compare her too but Zel was right Cinderella was absolutely beautiful. If she didn't have the constant voice of her step sisters and her step mother in her head with see her beauty too.

"Thank you for the complement Zel but beauty isn't everything, you know. And besides I wouldn't want to marry that prince anyway. If I know he would just pick a bride for their appearances. Also he isn't right to be king he hasn't even done anything for our kingdom as a prince what more if he was already king, right?" Cinderella said all in one breathe. Obviously she doesn't like the crown prince of Deliria.

"Well it looks like you really have put your thoughts in this issue for someone who doesn't care" Zel smiles smugly at her friend.

"I don't care. I'm just telling my opinion about the stupid prince" Ella defends herself which made Zel laugh.

"You say that the prince is stupid when you haven't even met him yet Ella" again Zel smiles at her friend trying to suggest her thoughts to her.

"Well I already know he is. We are better off as a kingdom without an arrogant prince like him to be king" Ella told her as a scowl appear on her face. This makes a smile appear on Zel's face once more.

"Don't take this the wrong way Ella but I have never seen you so irritated and so rude to a person. I mean assuming the prince is stupid is one thing but bad mouthing the man over and over again is another thing. I see the prince can really push your buttons" Zel tells her best friend smirking.

"You have no idea" Ella reply's to her and that makes Zel laugh at her again. As their conversation quiets down Zel thought of the most surprising thing.

Zel sighs loudly "I wonder if the crown prince has a brother" Zel voices out her thoughts.

Ella eyes Zel weirdly before she answers "He does actually,  prince Talonius but I think he is as arrogant and stupid as his brother. Well I think he's nicer at least"

"Really... oh Ella wouldn't you love to be married to a prince? I know I would" Ella saw her friend in a daze as she her say dreamily. She could only roll her eyes at her.

"Why would you want that? Like I said Zel, they are arrogant, stupid and selfish princes'. I'd rather marry a frog than them." Ella told her while rolling her eyes.

 Ella didn't really want to talk about the princes' anymore. All hear mind could think of was the ball then it went straight to the handsome stranger she met earlier. Well, now that she thought about it he wasn't much of a stranger now to her since Dimitri has already made a good and friendly impression on Ella.

While Ella's mind wondered off, all Zel could do was look at her curiously. What could possibly be in her mind right now? Zel thought. She waved her hand in front of Ella's face a few times until she finally pushed her lightly and she was finally gone from her daze.

"What?' Ella asked her best friend slightly confused on what was happening.

"You have been in a daze for quite some time now. What is with you Ellie? Are you feeling alright?" Zel asked very concerned.

"Uhh... Yeah. It's Nothing" we all knew it wasn't nothing but Zel decided just to drop it. If it were important Zel knew that her best friend would tell her sooner or later. 

As they talk among themselves more about what was going to happen in the festival hey did not realize that it was already midnight which meant that Ella had to go for she too needed her sleep in order to have energy in her incoming stressful day as she knows it will be like always.

"I have to go Zel" Ella said quietly as she still wanted to stay and spend time with her best friend but Zel knew it was time for her to go.

"I know, Ella. Just promise to visit again, soon please because it gets quite lonely up here without you" Zel pouts but she tries to smile even just a little bit anyways. 

After saying their goodbyes to each other, Ella made her way on rappelling down the tower using one of her tricks since learned in all the years she has went up there in the tower, she didn't like how Zel's mother got up by using her friends long golden hair, which she thought was just unnecessary.

As Ella got down from the tower, she thought of several things. She thought about Zel, the festival, her chores and other certain matters that was needed for tomorrow's chores. As she got n her horse, though on her way back to the mansion, her thoughts revolved on one thing or should I say person and that person in her mind could have possibly started with the letter D.

3rd Chapter done and more to go!

For the next chapter, I will try to introduce the royal family in the palace as well as try to focus on the 5 day festival of the king. 

Also, I'll try to introduce Rapunzel's mother who i have said is a witch.
