It was a autumn day. Mike was on his cellar, laying on the carpet, looking at the ceiling. Memories flied as they softly whispered echoing in his mind.

'I asked if you wanted to be my friend...'

'You said yes.'

'That was the best thing I've ever done'

"The best thing I've ever done..." Mike repeated, closing his eyes, concentrating on his thoughts.

"That day... It was on that day... That day has changed my life completely... HE changed my life completely... Will..." He muttered under his breath. "It was on that day that Will... made me realise how much I loved him..." He sighed.

Mike stood up and ran upstairs.

"Mike sweety, where are you going?" Karen, his mother, asked making Mike stop.

"I-I'm going to Will's house..." The dark haired boy turned to his mother.

"Alright..." She said picking his younger sister, Holly, up. Mike rushed to the door. "Michael, dress a coat, it's a bit cold outside." She continued.

Mike didn't have time for coats, but he rolled his eyes and went back to grab a coat. Quickly slipping it in, Mike opened the door in a rush and closed it making a loud noise.

"MICHAEL!" his mother yelled, not so pleased with the noise.

Wheeler couldn't wait. He got his bike and pedaled as fast as he could.
The cold air of November collapsed in the boys face like sharp needles.

'Alright Mike there's no way you can mess this up!" He thought to himself increasing the speed of his bike.

Mike finally arrived Byers' home. He let out a long sigh before knocking the door. He heard familiar footsteps approaching. There he was, in front of his dark eyes. The boy, his friend, Will.

"Hey... I-I wasn't expecting you... To...Come..." Will spoke with his normal low voice.

"I-I need to take you somewhere..." Mike was shaking a little.

"R-Really? Where are you taking me?" Will's voice raised up a bit.

"It's a s-surprise!" Mike chuckled.

"a-a surpri- ah!" Will got surprised by Mike who wrapped a piece of fabric around his head, blocking his eyesight.

"M-Mike w-where are you taking me!?" Will let out a giggle.

"You'll see!" Mike smirked leading Will to his bike.

The ride didn't take long. Will's heart was beating fast. He was nervous. He didn't know where Mike was taking him.

"Alright, we're here!" Mike said helping Will off the bike. "Are you ready?" Mike was smiling widely.

Will nodded.

"3..."
"2..."
"1..."

Mike softly took off the fabric of Will's eyesight.

It was that old swing where they started talking, where their friendship had begun...

"Remember this swing, Will?" Mike spoke to the other, smiling.

"Y-Yes..." Will smiled looking at Mike.

"This was the swing where you said 'yes' to the question that has changed my life for complete... and I hope you say yes to this question as well..." Mike was fitting the floor.

Will was confused. His heart was almost beating off his chest.

"Will..." Mike's eyes finally met Will's, grabbing his hands, Mike said it.

"I love you..."

Will was in shock, but a few seconds later he relaxed. His cheeks had a soft pink color. Will was speechless.

"Will you date me...?" Mike felt an instant regret, by the reaction of his friend, it was a solid no for him.

Mike was shaking, his gaze fell back to the floor.

Silence...

Suddenly, Mike felt two arms around his body. He was shaking way more now.

"Yes..." Will muttered.

'he said yes'
