" wait! Lily you promised you wouldn't run." Alex said speaking up looking around the room.
" I'm not running." I answered, " I'm still in the room."
"and the child?" Anthony asked.
" why must you people keep calling her that? she does have a name and it's Audrie." I growled at him ." and yes she is still here."
" okay. . . . . so now that that out of the way. . . . . Lily you will be staying in my room and Audrie shall receive a room of her own. Alex has informed me of your promises and so you will be allowed to roam the surrounding forest but you will have an escort at all times." Anthony said as he rubbed his red check.
I growled in protest but I didn't say a word.
" also if show your pretty little face right now Lizzie. the two "idiots" , and myself will take you two shopping" Anthony said rolling his sleeves of his work shirt up.
I sighed loudly and looked over to where Audrie was perched.
* what do you think?* I asked her.
* let's do it.* she said smiling over at me.
I nodded at her and we both dropped the camouflage. I was on top of a tall bookcase, and Audrie was on a ledge close to the window. on the other side of the room.
" are you coming down?" Lizzie asked smiling up at me.
I nodded and leaped off the bookcase, landing silently on the balls of my feet. Audrie on the other hand turned around and extended her claws into the dry wall. she slid down the wall with her belly facing it. ripping 10 perfect lines down the whole wall. I looked at her and giggled softly.
* what? I had to dull my claws some how.* she giggled in my mind.
" did you seriously just do that?" asked one of the "idiots"
Audrie nodded proudly.
" why?" asked the other one.
" she was dulling her claws duh.." I answered rolling my eyes.
". . . . ok put cement pillar on the list of things you have to buy." laughed Alex
I laughed along with him until I figured out everyone one was staring at me. I instantly stopped and walked over to Audrie and waited patiently.
" so are you ready to leave?" Lizzie asked walking towards the door.
we nodded and followed her out the room. we went down a few more halls and ended up in the garage. we all piled in and headed to the mall. I was in the front seat, Anthony was driving and the other four were in the back of the Lincoln navigator.
" so Lily here are a few ground rules. more will be put in place as we move on. one: no more slapping me. two: you will be an angel and listen to me." Anthony said as he shifted gears.
*he actually thinks tour gonna listen to him.* Audrie laughed in my thoughts.
* I know isn't that funny?* I laughed along with her.
* he is kind of cute .* Audrie said after our silent laughter fit.
*yeah but that doesn't really mean much to me. . . . I want to mate out of love not because I'm the last of my kind.* I whispered to her.
* do you think we will be here for a long time?* she finally asked after a long pause of silence.
* if they have it their way yes.* I answered truthfully.
"hey no talking in each other's heads!" snapped an "idiot"
" okay one that was rude. and two who the fuck do you think you are to try and tell me what to do?" I growled at him as I turned around in my seat to see him. " and last what the hell is your name in the first place?"
" I am Trevor and that is Randy." Trevor answered
" well Trevor. . . . . BACK THE FUCK OFF!" I shouted at him.
Lizzie and Randy laughed but Anthony only gave a half smile.
