Monai's POV

"Move you weirdo!" I yelled at my bestfriend Keontae' aka Pooh " Not until you say you ate my candy" Pooh said as he tickled me. " Okay ! Okay ! I ate your candy!" I said trying to catch my breath. I stood up walked away and said " And i was sooooo good" Pooh then started running after me laughing. I love having these times with my bestfriend !

"Okay! I'm done forreal. Lets go to the store so I can buy you some more." " Alrighty then." He said as we got in my Honda Accord. We were jamming to Blah Blah Blah by Rich Homie Quan as we pulled up to the JetPep.

I grabbed my bestfriend his candy, paid , then left. As i was walking out of the gas station i accidentally bumped into someone who was arriving as i was leaving. "Oops, my bad" I said without looking up. " You good shorty" , when i looked up this 6'2 boy , with hazel and green eyes was looking down at me. When i tried to leave he said "Aye! Let me get your number?"

"Aye! Let me get your number?" I asked kindly. " Umm. I...... Uhhhhh..... " she blushes as she tripped over her words. " It's okay hun, loosen up. Stop being to nervous." I reassured her. She blushed again, damn she beautiful. "Well, I will start by saying, my name is Jonathan, but you can call me whatever you want."

Jonathan's POV

" My name is Monai." she told me. Damn she short and thick. "Well, wassup with that number though?" I asked her , she didn't answer but she did blush " Dang , shortie you sure do blush alot." "Shush up!" She took my phone and programmed her number she told me to text her then she left, this Monai chick got a nigga glowing!

Monai's POV

I guess Pooh realized something happened because as soon i handed him his candy he immediately started badgering with question " So who was he?" He asked " Nobody! Why?" " Cuz he got you glowing and shit and you cant lie your eyes tell one you everytime !" he said smirking. " Shut up !" I yelled at him when my phone blinked indicating I had text.

Monai got back in the car smiling and mess! I knew something happened because her eyes were this soft brown almost pink color. I just hope who ever he is he don't hurt her , because I do NOT mind beating a nigga up for her. Man my best friend has been through to much.

She texted me four more times but I didn't reply. I don't have time for her bitchin. Monai must have sensed I was mad because she asked me what was wrong "Nothing mane. RaNiya trippin !" I answered. "Why she don't like me?" She asked, I shrugged my shoulders.

*30 min laters*

Me and Monai was at the park when all hell broke loose

Monai's POV

Me and Pooh were just chilling when we saw a group of girls walking toward us, the leader was RaNiya. "SO YOU WANT MY MAN HOE !" I stood up and laughed at how stupid this girl could be "What the fuck is so funny?!" The biggest girl said "All of yall! You really wasted all of your time to come out here! For what? Nothing!" I was in tears laughing.

Before i knew it RaNiya lunged toward me. She was pulling my hair . I grabbed her shirt and pulled her down and punched her in her face repeatedly. The biggest girl grabbed me from the back of my shirt and threw me into the bench and started throwing blows and my face and body. I WAS GETTING JUMPED! I pushed the big ogre off of me and kicked her in the mouth, when the two other girls started punching me everywhere. When i got back on my feet i felt my body being lifted of the ground.

"Calm down shorty!" I heard a familiar male voice say "PUT ME DOWN !" I demanded "If i put you down are you going to calm down?" I nodded "Promise?" "YES!" He put me down and i saw Jonathan.

"Damn shorty! You got hammer hands!" I rolled my eyes " WHERE IS MY BESTFRIEND?" I asked panicking "Check your phone darling." I checked my phone and read the texts

Pooh was quiet and it was really bothering me so i decided to break the ice."Bestie?" "What?" "Whats wrong?" He signed and shook his head "Text me later , okay?" I said has i pulled up to his house and he shook his head, again. "LOVE YOU POOKIE!" He shot me a look because he hates it when i call him that. " Love you to MIDGET!" I flicked him off and pulled off.

*15 mins later*

I felt myself gasping for air when i realized what was happening my mothers drunk boyfriend Antwon was beating me again. I started getting dizzy when he threw me to the ground. "You are pathetic, and ugly! I have something for you!" At that moment he hit me with a belt buckle. I was SCREAMING in pain. When he was tired of hitting me I grabbed my phone and ran out of the house. It was raining and i didn't know where i was going but i had to leave.
