[depression's pov]

What do you do when you wake up? I always crack my knuckles, like I am doing now. Part of me wants to check up on Logan, but more of me knows that's not my job. You know, staying in his room actually cleared up a lot of my questions.

Like his statement about cutting on his stomach and that it hurt more. To me, that made absolutely no sense. At first, I thought it was just an opinion, but then I saw the place he spends most of his time. The desk he sits at would grind directly against his cuts, making them hurt worse. Logan really is a  smart one.

I should get dressed, the morning will end soon. I throw on my usual outfit. Black t-shirt, black leather jacket, black skinny jeans, and black hightops. Do I wear to much black? Probably not.

Why do I even have a door, I never use it. I step out into the hallway and walk towards the common area. My room is the farthest back and common area is the farthest room in the front. It takes me the same amount of time to walk there as it takes the others to eat breakfast. Three of them eat a proper breakfast, and Virgil eats a few bites of a proper breakfast. Then again, who am I to talk? I never eat anything at all.

Hmm, it seems I have slept in a little too much today. The others are all back in their rooms. Seeing as yesterday's visit to someone's room was so eventful, maybe I will do it again. Patton's room is currently radiating dark thoughts. I know this because it's one of my mild powers, I can sense and read people's dark thoughts. What I do with that knowledge is up to me.

I soon reach Patton's sky blue door that's covered in hearts, rainbows, and animals. It's so him. Just like the others doors I suppose. Logan's door is dark blue with a geometric pattern of sharp black lines, Roman's is red and embellished with gold accents, and Virgil's, probably my favorite, is magenta, no jam and covered in thunderstorms and awesome band stuff. Mine is not important for now. Whoops, I've been standing here talking to you, and now I'm just standing at his door awkwardly.  I knock on his door and ask if I can come in.

"Sure, come on in kiddo" Patton called out in response. I open his door, it's been a while since I actually used a door, and walk in. His wall are painted sky blue with clouds on them and Patton is sitting on his bed which are covered with a rainbow bed sheet.

"Hey there Depression, I really like your gauges." Patton complimented. I think he's just being nice rather than actually meaning it. Oh well, I say thank you anyways.

"Anything bothering you?" Patton asked me. Of course something was bothering me.

"No, just wanted to talk to one of you guys" I answered instead. Patton was the best option out of the three. I didn't want to disrupt what little sleep Virgil was getting, and I was in no mood to deal with the ever so extravagant Prince.

"Oh ok, come sit next to me. You don't have to stand there" Patton said as he patted the space next to him. I oblige and sit with my legs hanging off the bed.  When I go to do this, my hand brushes against Patton's hip and he winces. He eyes fill up with worry and mine show the smallest bit of concerned.

"Can I?" I asked. He nodded in response. I go to touch his hips gently, if I did it too hard it would hurt him worse. You can feel the bandages, that combined with the wincing at my touch indicates it hasn't been to long.

"Recent?" I asked him. He nodded guiltily. "Why Pat?"

"Um well it's, it's the only pain I can control" He answered hesitantly. I looked at him empathetically, I knew all too well how that felt.

"Aren't you going to yell at me or tell me to stop or-" He asked. I cut him off knowing where this was going.

"I'm sorry Patton, but that's not my job" I said, smiling at him sadly.

"I understand Dee. Can I trust you to keep this secret?" He asked.

"Of course, but I recommend you talk to the others" I said.

"They wouldn't understand" He said. I laugh softly at his naivety.

"Oh, they would understand more than you know" I told him. He looked at me quizzically.

"Anyways, I should get going" I said, getting up.

"No, stay and build a puzzle with me" He said quickly. I stop and turn around.

"Sure, if that's what you want" I said. He took out a box and we got to work.

Patton was a surprising one, he's always so happy. Then again, we all put on fake smiles.

This is going to be an angst train, and I'll be your conductor. Were you expecting Patton to be next? If so, why and if not, who were you expecting? Well anyways, thanks for reading. Comment, vote, whatever.
