Life is an endless journey. We all face different kinds of obstacles that will help us become wiser and stronger.
As a child, you were scared to grow up and make your own decisions. Afraid to face the obstacles that life will give you.
Now that you're older, you realized that it is really important. It helps you define what kind of person you are.
Most of your loved ones see you selfish for a decision you made. You understand why though but it won't change your mind.
You were reading a book when someone knocked on your door. "Y/N, dinners ready," Nana said.
Nana practically took care of you since you were a baby, she is the sweetest and most loving nanny in the whole world.
"Coming Nana!" you shouted softly. You checked yourself if you look presentable enough before leaving your room. As you were going down the stairs, you heard a soft conversation and it was about you.
"How is she Nana? Does she eat a lot? She rarely goes out of her room doesn't she?" you knew the voice belonged to your mom. You missed your mom and dad. You don't see them often due to their work and you can't help but be sad about it.
"Mom, your home!" you excitedly hugged her.
"I miss you too Y/N," she chuckled and hugged you back.
You looked around searching for your dad. "Oh Y/N, your dad can't go home. He's really busy with work," she looked at you sadly.
"It's okay, I understand," you said softly. You can't help but be disappointed about it.
' At least mom is here,' you thought. You just let out a deep sigh and followed Nana and your mom to the dining room. You had dinner together and talked a lot.
After, you headed to your room and opened your laptop. You received a few messages from your best friend, Felix.
Felix: Hey Y/N :)
Felix: Y/N
Felix: Helloooooo?
Felix: Y/N :(
You laughed due to Felix being impatient. It was typical of him to fool around and send a lot of messages.
You typed and replied to his message.
Y/N: Why so impatient Felix?
Felix: Where's the hello? :(
Y/N: Hey Felix haha
Felix was your best friend since your diaper days. His parents are good friends and business partners with your parents. You had a lot of common interest which helped made your friendship last longer.
Felix: So, how was your day?
Y/N: It was okay, I guess
Felix: Really, nothing interesting?
Y/N: Well, mom is home
Felix: That is a miracle!
Y/N: What? Why would it be a miracle?
Felix: Both your parents are rarely home, that's why it's a miracle
Y/N: Ohhh okay
You looked at the clock to see it was late already. You weren't allowed to sleep late, so you bid your goodbye to Felix.
Y/N: I gotta go Felix. It's late, I might get scolded. Night night!
Felix: Okay, I'll visit tomorrow. Have a good sleep :)
You closed your laptop and headed to your bathroom. You washed your face and brushed your teeth. You changed to your pajamas and went to your bed.
