“draft 0706”
It's almost midnight, but the wifi connection's off—it's alright.
I decided to admire the night,
Looked upon the sky and heaved a sigh.As I sat on the front porch ledge, I
Decided to lay down to have a
Better look of the stars.“It's majestic,” grumbled I.
It subtly calmed the tangling in my chest, Removed the boulder on it.
Plucked the thorns buried on it.It pulled up the strings on the corner of my
Lips, which made it look like
The moon's cresent tonight, I
Wiped an uninvited teardrop. It's been a long while since I
Have had the luxury to see the bright night
Stars. Have my mind
Really warded off the beautiful things I
Used to put into it?–themarkedstars
