PLOT TWIST ~ Hazel's Lungs
Before he died, Augustus came up with a plan. He got all of the testing, got his parents to sign off the papers, and signed the last one himself. A short while after he died, Hazel was notified by the hospital that they had cancer free lungs that could take the place of her sick ones. She had the surgery without asking many questions. She was just happy that she had a chance at life. Only after she had woke up from anesthetic did she find out. The lungs that replaced hers were Augustus's. He gave her his healthy lungs as his last gift to her. He knew he wouldn't have the life with Hazel he deserved, but he would always be with her.
