"Hey Jonah," I wave back.
"So are you ready to watch that movie?" he asks.
"Actually I changed my mind."
"Okay?" He looks slightly confused.
"Since we're here, we could just go into the mall. I'm not really in a movie mood," I lie. I actually do want to see that movie, but not right now. I feel like it might be a bit awkward. And anyways, going into stores for the fun of it is always a good time.
"Yeah that sounds pretty fun. I know this really cool store we can go to," H
he says, his face lighting up.
"Let's do it." He spins and signals for us to walk. I take a step forward and he gently touches my back for half a second to motion me forward. I wish he would leave his hand there, because that felt really nice.
My phone buzzes, and Jonah almost stops but I say, "No keep going, I can multi-task."
I pull my phone from my back pocket and see it's from Buffy.
the queen: marty just asked me on a date!!
Me: did you say yes?
the queen: i havent answered yet what do i do??
Me: go out with him, you stupid
"I'm just going to ask because you seem to be smiling a lot. Who are yoo talking to?" He laughs.
"Buffy. Marty asked her on a date." I wiggle my eyebrows.
"Dude, did she say yes?" His jaw drops slightly.
"We will find out soon," I say, my phone buzzing almost immediately. "We will find out now."
the queen: ahhhhh idk what to do
"Ok it appears as if I was wrong," I say, causing him to laugh.
Me: DATE THE BOY. YOU LOVE HIM, AND HE LOVES YOU.
the queen: but what if it doesnt go well
Me: you two are basically dating already. might as well go on an actual date and make it official
"So are they going?" he asks.
"Not yet. Buffy is stubborn and won't listen to her heart." He laughs again. I must be really funny when I'm playing matchmaker.
the queen: says you.
Me: whats that supposed to mean
the queen: we arent 'basically dating.' by that logic, you and jonah are basically dating.
I quickly turn my phone slightly so Jonah can't see the screen under any circumstances. He hasn't been looking, but I can't take any chances.
Me: okay first of all, no. and second of all, not a good time to bring that up. but you and marty are soulmates okay
the queen: why is it a bad time to bring it up?
the queen: wait
the queen: you're with jonah right now arent you!?
