Chapter 1:My Knight In Shiny Armor

Gwen's POV

I opened one eye and heard New World playing which meant someone I didn't want to talk to was calling.I ignored it and snuck downstairs into the snow and found Joseph"I like your snowman."I told him I saw fear in his eyes and I crouched down next to him and put a hand on his shoulder"Joseph what's wrong."I saw him look up and froze.Someone grabbed me from behind and started dragging me away"Stop refusing."he said Joseph ran under the house as he dragged me away then threw me on the ground"Sorry my boss is paying me for this."he pulled out a knife and I covered my face with my hands turning my head.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!!"

someone yelled I looked in the direction the voice came from and saw an old enemy"What are you gonna do about it?"Lyle asked chuckling the other boy ran up to him and punched him in the nose which made him topple onto the ground.Lyle quickly got up and ran away

"Sorry I couldn't come sooner."

Mitch said putting a hand out I kept my head down not wanting him to know it was me"Can I meet my fair madden?"he asked jokingly I shook my head and started walking back to Joseph but he grabbed my arm and turned me back around.I kept my head down as he spoke

"Hey I saved your life can I at least know your name?"before I could shake my head Joseph answered"Her names Gwen."I quickly ran for the door to the house but Mitch was too fast and held the door shut"Gwen as in Stacy(Yes,I know it's from spider man but I like the name ok don't judge me)he questioned I nodded and looked up at him.

Mitch's POV

She nodded her head and I felt less happy more angry"Why was that guy after you,and why did you never answer my calls or texts?"I questioned her staring into her eyes I don't know why but something about them just made them seem so pretty and special and they never stayed the same color.She waved her hand in front of my face and I snapped out of dreamland"Oh what happened?"I asked she sighed as Joseph walked up to me"Thank you for saving my sister."he said sweetly he hasn't change one bit.

I messed up his hair then went back to Gwen"Ok i'll explain but only if we can go inside were its warm."I wanted to be warm but if she was cold she would have to talk fast to get warm I folded my arms leaning on the door shacking my head.She sighed as Joseph poked my side"Can you promise me something?"he ask with big eyes I kneeled down and he whispered in my ear"Don't break her heart."then walked away without saying another word.I shook it off as Gwen whispered"What did he say?"I sighed as my breathe came out as a cloud"Nothing but what about you Miss secrets come on you can tell me...I'm here to help."

she suddenly got angry or at least looked angry."It's none of your business don't help me next time I don't need it and you can't help me no one can.I'm all alone all I have is Bri and Joe and your not gonna ruin it by saying you'll help me then ditching me and leaving me in the dust to suffer I'm not going through that again."she told me she covered her face and stayed quiet after

"Your right Gwen I did say I would help you with anything along time ago but you can't keep living in the past.Ok let me help this is a new Mitch a better one i'll do better this time."she shook her head sadly I gave up and walked away.
