*Lulu PoV*

After the emotional wreck I'd been 3 days ago, I hadn't held another training session. Strangely, Charlotte hadn't asked me anything about that yet. Actually, no one has asked, and I wasn't about to tell anyone anything. And if anyone did ask, I was about to blame it to Gideon Lightwood. As of today, he's 4 days late to his arrival date.

Meanwhile, I have been hanging around the library and walking around London's pubs. I have a very high alcohol tolerance level due to me being a Shadowhunter, so no harm done there. I've met Will's six-fingered Nigel. I am now hanging out in said library when Charlotte bursted into the room, calling out.

"Lulu!" she shouted, though not very loudly. I put down my book and power walked to the door.

"What's the matter?" I asked.

"I need your help with a Vermithrall in the Old Nichol, at the East End of London. Enclave cannot send help,"she told.

I nodded and ran as fast as I can to change into my gear. I was wearing another blue dress today, and unfortunately styled my hair lavishly, and it took a great deal of time this morning. I rolled my eyes. Had I known this was gonna happen.

I ran back to my room instantly, wanted to change into my gear immediately. It was really hard to pull of my corset, but I finally did it all on my own, and slipped into my latex pants and leather shirt. I supplied 4 seraph blades into my weapons belt. I took my lasso chain, and belted the silver material of my chain around my waist. I ran back downstairs, where Charlotte was waiting.

"You'll go with Will and Jem, you don't know London that well, and I can't let you be alone," she said with worry. I knew that she was worried because she wanted to go herself with Henry, but I had specifically asked to be sent on missions as I find my days getting duller each day, when I went all to my lonesome by choice.

I nodded and ran before Charlotte changes her mind, seeing as she's already pacing. When I ran to the front steps, Will and Jem are already waiting in the carriage, in their gear. I hopped on, and Thomas whipped the horses away.

At the carriage, I sat across Will and Jem. We were drawing runes on each other, steles in hand. Heightened Speed, Flexibility, Surefooted, and the other runes that need to be applied before battle. I shivered when Jem's hands caught my ulna, then flipped it and drew a Strength rune on my wrist. Runes do work better when it's drawn closer to the heart. Will drew an Endurance rune on Jem, and I drew on Will an Agility rune.

"You give him Agility ? He's agile enough as it is," Jem said and then laughed, but I said nothing. Jem still had my hand, his fingers laced around my wrist.

"Give me Precision, I don't throw seraph blades really well," I said finally, knowing to put the importance of the runes ahead of my uneasiness upon Jem's hand on mine. Jem drew a Precision Mark on me, and it burned for a bit before settling into my skin. Then I drew an Equilibrium rune on Will, and we're all done drawing and put away the steles. I sat and let the burning of my new Marks settle for a few minutes.

"So what are we fighting ?" Jem asked.

"A Vermithrall," Will answered, then the carriage came to a halt. That was quick.

"We can't be there yet," Jem said, his eyebrows furrowing. I knocked a little window to Thomas' side in front.

"Something is holding up the road ahead," Thomas told us. We exchanged glances, then I felt a smile spread over my face.

"No matter," I said simply. Then I took my stele and drew a rune on my forearm.

"A Mendelin? for glamour ?" Jem asked with high curiosity, as I didn't explain my actions.
