Morning had come, I slowly open my eyes and turn to my left to see if mother has woken up yet, she's gone. I panic. I jump out of bed and run towards the door, while hoping that my family drama is just a dream, I open the door and see Morris standing there in the pyjamas that he had borrowed from James, yawning and stretching his arms in the air up and over his head, he turns around to see me leaning against my bedroom door.
"Well good morning to you too" he says as he stops stretching and scratches his head.
"G..G..Good..Morning" I stutter.
Morris raises one of his brows as he notices my strange speech.
"You alright?" he asks concerned.
"Huh? me? yeah I'm good you?" I say awkwardly, adverting my eyes.
Morris just stares at me strangely.
"Uhhh... okay if you say so, mum left earlier, I heard her leave and also she made breakfast and left it on the table for us" He says pointing at the table.
I look over at the table and see two plates neatly set out with cutlery and three more plates that have scrambled eggs, bacon and bread.
"Mind if I take the first shower?" Morris asks.
"Yeah! no of course!" I say instantly.
"Thanks, so all the fresh towels in the bathroom on the shelf right?" He asks.
"Yep, those ones are the fresh ones and help yourself to anything else in the bathroom" I say.
"Sweet!" he replies happily as he makes his way to my bathroom.
I watch as Morris is out of sight and I finally begin to realise that I wasn't dreaming. I sigh and walk over to the table I hear a knock at the front door, I stop and look through the peephole and see James, I open the door and let him in.
James enters and gives me a slight peck on the cheek, I look at him confused and he gestures to the lounge where Morris had been sleeping.
"He's in the shower, you can relax" I say giggling.
"Well thank goodness" he replies cheekily as he pulls me in to his chest and gived me a peck on the cheek then onto my lips.
I close my eyes waiting for his lips to meet mine...but they never met, I open my eyes to see James being held by the back of his collar by Morris whom seems unimpressed. I look at James and he is looking back at me and tries to say something.
"H.E.L.P M.E!" he mouths.
Morris looks at James trying to communicate.
"You got something to say there? Jay was it?" He says in an intimidating tone.
I glare at Morris.
"Don't you think you should put some clothes on before you start trying to act tough, B.I.G B.R.O" I say sarcastically, looking him up and down.
Morris looks at me then drops James' collar and fixes it neatly then pats him on the back before he turns to head back into the bathroom.
"Your brother is really something, isn't he?" James says in a trembling tone as he watches Morris leave the room.
"Don't worry, he knows not to pick a fight with me because I am the baby sister that he adores" I say.
"Yeah and you're real hard headed too" James chuckles.
"What was that?" I say raiding my left brow.
James immediately stops chuckling and begins to panic.
