My suit had healed the majority of my injuries, I was running low on supplies though. The

Black Knights Armour had a special tube that fed you water and a special protein formula

that was liquefied, removing the need to stop to prepare a meal. I could see a building in the

distance and I started towards it. It had been easily three weeks since my encounter with the

mermaid and my progress had been slowed because I was dodging extended searches and

patrols and the battle had taken its toll on my armour. I had long since started walking at a

normal pace.

The building started to grow as I drew near, I had reached what I judged to be the first of the

Templars Outposts. The building was large, surrounded by gigantic burly walls with fierce

spikes at the top. I could see sniper towers every hundred meters along the walls that

surrounded the building. I approached the main gates, they were huge and made of a new

breed of Yew tree, almost impenetrable, and even after been cut down in would heal if

damaged and repair its new shape. It was difficult to make such gates as it required a variety

of poisoning and cutting techniques that were lost on me back at the academy.

As I approached I spotted the two guards, they were Templars. Their armour was huge, with

eccentric patterns etched into it. They held giant maces with Crucifixes etched into the

handles, the maces were vicious, at least as long as my arm and sparkling silver...well silver

as it is today, it carries the same sheen and sparkle, but it's a lot tougher, its ability to clean

and kill germs amplified by the effects of the war and the nuclear war and use of H.O.M's, as

well as testing and experimentation. Silver was now toxic to living beings if cut with it, it

burns you from the inside as it slowly kills you. I slowed my approach to a steady walk. I was

not challenged until I came directly in front of the gate.

"Halt!" came the cry of the Templar to my right.

"Who would pass and what is your reason?" he continued.

"I seek refuge for the night and to speak to your commander." I replied from a distance.

"What does a Black Knight want with our commander?" came the Templar on my lefts

challenge.

"It is a private matter." I replied in a level tone.

"Brother Raan and Brother Martin, open the gates! Allow the Black Knight entrance, but

confiscate his gear. Take him straight to Knight Captain Haldane" Came the Templars reply, I

watched as two squires in the towers closest to the gate hit what seemed to be a control board

in unison, they then picked up their rifles and ran down, arriving in an eerily unison time and

fashion. Brother Raan had bright red hair which was curly at the tips, he had a narrow face
