Going to a new country to start a new life was not the best option but was the only solution. I wanted to laugh at my self as if I have ever had an option, all the decision I made were out of necessity.
I was a little happy because no one knew me here and I could start a new life.
A knock brought me out of my thoughts. "Hey miss can I come in."
My co-worker Chris peeped his head.
"You always enter without my permission so why bother knocking"
I replied teasingly.
"You hurt my feeling Graykay , I am a very respectful man with etiquette ". Chris is a very cheerful person .he is one of my friends and is the one who showed me the city when I came.
"Okay what can I do for you mr etiquette ."
"Ooh there is another assignment for us , we are supposed to go to another party ." He say dramatically.
"You make it sound like we are some detectives, will you be serious for once and explain what's this about".
" Ooh Graykay you just gave me a perfect solution we can go there undercover and catch the mafia and we will be on the headlines, and I will be the hero of all ladies."
"I know I shouldn't have said that, instead of you being famous you will be six feet under,now back to business what brought you here." I ask seriously.
Chris explained to me the "assignment " then he goes back to work. Chris can actually be serious if he has to be . He is the most cheerful co-worker , he has alot of jokes and makes our life a little cheerful at work.
I arrive at my apartment very late because I had to pass by my friend's lizz house to go see her brother.
Lizz is more of a sister to me than a friend, she is the only one who knows
My secret.
I had to look at the so called assinment before I slept since that would earn our company alot of profits.
"Hey Graykay how was your night".Chris greeted me with a cheerful grin.
"It was good Chris ,just like the other nights." I replied wondering why he was in a very happy mood today.
"You are so boring Graykay, you need to loosen up for once ,when was the last time you went clubbing. "
"You are crazy ,who goes clubbing on a work day, ". I replied him shockingly.
"I ofcourse, yesterday was a blast ,lot of pretty girls."he replies mischievously . Chris is the only person who I can say lives his life to the fullest.
"You are the only person who does that chrissy , now let's back to business chrissy." I say teasingly because he hates that nickname.
"Uggh stop calling me that stupid nickname, I hate it with passion."
"Okay I'll stop calling you that, now can we start our meeting."
We discussed about our assignment and we made sure everything was ready.
