Sydney's POV
He sat with a crooked grin, his blue eyes sparkling in the near darkness with only the laptop screen as his light.
My eyes flicked up to the video of me, my blonde hair was messed up from me rolling around on the floor. I have never felt so self conscious in my life, I nervously put my hand up to smooth it out. I looked at his face to see him grinning knowingly.
You look beautiful as you are. Leave your hair alone. I read the message he sent.
I looked down blushing.
You're only saying that to make me feel good about myself. I typed back.
No. I would have been completely honest, I have never seen someone as beautiful as you.
I bit my lip at his words, he thinks I'm beautiful. That's a first.
I'm home schooled, that's why I don't have friends. It gets lonely as you can see.
Add me on Skype. My username is Rhythm583.
Rhythm?
Don't laugh but that's my real name.
I grinned again, Rhythm.
What is your last name then?
Why? You planning to write your name with my last name in a heart on your school math book?
I shook my head no.
For me to write on my school math book I would have to go to school. But I would like to get to know you...
Wait... that sounded a bit creepy.
What I mean is I would like to get to know you so I have a friend...
That didn't sound any better did it?
I looked at the screen. He was laughing at me.
You are the most adorable person ever. I get what you mean, I would love to get to know you as well but in a friendly way.
We ended up talking for a while more until it was four in the afternoon. Meaning we had been talking for five hours straight.
I would love to carry on talking but it is late. I will talk to you tomorrow Sydney. Have a good day.
After he said bye and ended the call I still sat staring at the screen grinning like an idiot. I can't be in love already, it isn't love. It hope, confusion. I don't understand love, I haven't seen enough of it to know.
