Mrs Jeon let me into the house, helping me out of my coat. I smiled at her appreciatively as the pair of us sat at the table. I'd been coming to see her ever since I'd gotten out of the hospital, when she'd reached out to me.
"You're glowing, Y/N. How's Mummy and baby doing?" She asked as she poured me as a glass of homemade lemonade. I wrapped my hands around the glass.
"I'm exhausted. I never realised how much effort it takes just to walk around. I feel like a whale. As for the baby, he or she seems to take great pleasure in kicking me." I smiled, sipping my drink.
"Ahh the baby is kicking? Thank God everything seems to be going normally! If I ever see that Mina, I can't promise that I'll be able to hold my temper...Has Jungkook been in touch yet?" She quizzed.
"He actually came around to my parent's house a couple of days ago." I admitted. Mrs Jeon struggled to contain the smile on her face. I knew she wanted nothing more than the pair of us to reconcile.
"Oh did he? And how did that go?" She threaded her hands together, smiling at me. I ran my hands over the back of my neck, awkwardly.
"I didn't see him actually. He spoke with my Dad. He knows about the pregnancy now. My Dad's temper got the better of him." I admitted. Mrs Jeon smiled lightly. She reached for my hand over the table, holding it tightly.
"It was bound to come out sooner or later Y/N-ah. If you want him to stay away, I can talk to him, tell him to give it some time-"
"That isn't necessary, Mrs Jeon. I need to see him at some point. Despite the issues that we may have had, there's no denying that he's an amazing father." She smiled at me, lovingly.
"You're more than welcome to meet him here if you're at all worried about going over there alone. You'll always be a part of this family Y/N - whether you and Jungkook patch things up or not."
"I appreciate it. After everything that has happened, I still trust Jungkook." I admitted. "I need to reach out to him at some point and arrange a time to speak about this whole situation."
"I know that he's home now - that's if you wanted to head over so soon-" I chewed my lip lightly, debating the idea.
"You're right. I should just get it over and done with, shouldn't I?"
"I would advise that - but then again, I'm biased." She smiled. "Whatever you decide honey, don't overexert yourself and the baby. You two are the priority right now. You've already been through enough. Just be careful."
An hour later, I found myself stood on Jungkook's doorstep. I reached out to knock on the door before pulling my hand back and sighing to myself.
Was I doing the right thing?
I was about to turn around and escape, giving into my anxiety when the baby kicked, reminding me of it's presence. Casting a look downward, I knocked lightly on the door, not sure anyone would answer it.
