Dee POV

"Ray hold still."i apply the ointment on his arm.

"Its cold."said ray.he snatched his arm away from me.

"Baby,come on.it will stop your skin from being itchy."

"But its cold."ray whined.i sighed.

"Ray.come on.i am not even done."

"No!"then he ran out the room.i ran after him.i caught him in living room.i carried him back to my room.

"I wish dad was here."mumbled ray.what?did i hear him right.he only saw nova why does he want him for?after I done with getting ray ready.i drove daycare center.ray walked to his class.

"Latto,i speak to the person over this place?"

"Oh no.what happened?"

"You wasn't here yesterday?"

"I was but i left a early.what happened?"

"One of the teacher spray perfume around ray.he got a allergic reaction on skin.at least i know what he is allergic to."

"Poor ray.well,my boss is jny.she comes in around 9."

"Maybe i can catch her after i get out of school."she nodded.

"Later"then i went to school.i sat in my first period.ji was sat next to me.

I was walking the attendance sheet to the office when nova stopped me.

"Dee,why didn't you tell me ray was in the hospital yesterday?"asked nova.

"Do yall have allergy policy?"

"Well,it wasn't in my son classroom.he got allergic reaction when a teacher spray a scent around him."

Nova POV

I stood in the mirror.you got this!

"Mom,i got a son."nope too blunt.

"Mom,i fuck a girl- definitely not!i ran my hand my bun.i heard the front door open and close.i got this.i walked out my room.i walked downstairs.my siblings lexy and Noah was talking to you.i waited them finished and left the living room.

"So,remember when you tell me i can tell you anything?"

"That i got a son."

"You got a girl pregnant?"

"Well,up to like last week i didn't know i have a son."

"Nova,i don't care if you hate the mother but you better take care of that child when it comes."

"Dee got pregnant freshman year but she never toll nobody including me.i found out last week i have a son."

"I just tolled my mom about ray.so,i wondering if ray could stay a night at my house."

"Okay.i am cool with that.how about this Saturday."she thought for a minute.

"Where is ray?"

"Watching TV with my mom."

"Can i talk to him?"

"Yeah.hold on."she started walking around the house.she handed the phone to ray.

"Dad!"said ray.

"Hey ray.so,what you do today?"then ray started rambling about his day.i only understood half of what he was saying but he excited and happy to tell me.so,i just acting like i knew what he was talking about.when dee phone rang.

"Mama!the phone."said ray.dee grabbed the phone from ray.

"I will call you back."said dee.she hanged up.

I was laying in bed watching Netflix.when dee facetime me.

"Hello?"

"Sorry to bother you but ray won't go to bed without night to you."said dee.she look jealous.

"Do i see jealousy?"

"Nova."She said sternly.

"Fine.fine.give him the phone."then she handed him the phone.

"night ray."

"Night dad."then he hanged up.smile creep up on my face.
