"Okay, first let's practice your types. What's the type you're best in so far?" "Well, seeing as I haven't really tried anything else, I guess speed." He smirks, "Well, show me. There's an obstacle course over there that just appeared.. Again, no idea how, but it's convenient." I turn toward the obstacle course that wasn't there before and study it, then jog up to the front of it and get in a running position. The guy, who still hasn't retold me his name, gets a stopwatch out of his pocket and walks to where he's far enough to see the whole course, but I can also hear him. "Alright, on the count of three. One, two, three." He hits the stopwatch button right as I take off. I run through the obstacle course, naturally dodging everything. A few very dangerous obstacles appear out of no where, like land mines and anvils falling from the sky. But, I still dodged them very well. I get to the end of the obstacle course and the talkative demon walks up to me, "Alright, you got through that in about.. Fifteen seconds. You're faster than the average demon, but you could be faster. Plus, that was a very hard obstacle course. Your dodging though, it's very good. Even when things randomly appeared beneath your feet, you managed to stop your momentum completely and step somewhere around it. Alright, now let's train your other types. Choose one."

"Wait, what were my types again?" He face palms and sighs, "Fire or darkness. Which one?" "I thought I had speed?" "Just choose one." I grin, "Darkness! Plus, that's one of your types, right?" He looks at me dumbfounded, "You actually listened when I told you how to tell what types a demon has?" I wink and stick my tongue out, which I just realized is slit about two inches into the tip, "Yep. Not sure what the green is, but you're darkness. I have selective memory." He sighs, annoyed, "So you didn't want to remember my name?" I shrug, "Nah, more like I was distracted. Plus, demon names are way different than human names, and I have trouble remembering human names." He rolls his eyes, "Well, remember it this time. It's Kuliko." I nod, "Kuliko, Kuliko, Kuliko, Kuliko, Kuliko, Kuli-" "Shut up! Do it in your head or something." I grin and nod. Kuliko, Kuliko, Kuliko, Kuliko, Kuliko, Kuliko, Kuliko, Kuliko, Kuliko.. He hits my back, "Pay attention!" I pout, "But I was memorizing your name." He looks very annoyed, "Do it later. Right now you're learning darkness." I grin, "Oh, right! What do I do?" "First, I'll tell you about it. You've got to learn about it, then it'll be easier to understand." I nod and sit criss-cross on the floor.

"Okay, so. First I'll tell you a bit more about types. There are many different types, and while most are element-based, some are different. Like speed, strength, and intelligence. Sometimes types merge together in a demon and make one type, like water and wind would equal ice. An example of this is the guy who called you a brat. He's the second in command, and his types are poison and darkness. They merged and now he's some sort of black goo monster that can change shape at will. He likes that snake-human form best, though. When a demon has a merged type, they can use the types it's made of, but they're not as good as someone with the unmerged types. Same with unmerged types, they can merge them together, but it's harder than with naturally merged types. Sometimes if a demon has more than one type, it can have a small effect on other types, making them stronger. Like since you have fire, darkness, and speed, you might be able to go faster in the darkness and/or hot environments. They also affect how a demon looks, some through color some through looks. Like your legs are for running, and your body temperature will always be above average. The more types you have the more colorful you get, like King Lacerous. He has four types, and has four colors. For some reason his types didn't merge, which has a higher chance the more types you have. Alright, you seem a bit antsy, so lets get onto training." I grin while stopping the tapping of my fingers.

"Alright, so the darkness type means you can control darkness itself, including traveling through shadows and creating illusions. You just go into a shadow and imagine where you want to go to travel through them and you'll go to the closest shadow to where you wanna go, which are sometimes a long distance away from where you want to go. This is how darkness types travel from this world to the human one, though I used that portal since it's very draining to drag another person through the shadows. The portal I used is the normal form of transportation through worlds that all demons can use, since some don't have a type that can be used to travel through them. There are other forms of transportation, like-" I stand up, "Woah, woah, woah. Off topic. Training?" "Oh, right. I do that sometimes. Just try and see in the dark." He turns the lights off, and I immediately see that his eyes are glowing a bit. He taps the side of his head, "Nocturnal eyes. Kinda like cat eyes, actually." I look around and realize I can see. "Okay, follow me. I'll test your eyes." He faces so that his glowing eyes are away from me and begins to walk. I follow behind him, as he stops at random times, but I stop with him. He also begins pointing and asking me what he was pointing to. "Alright. Where's the obstacle course?" I look around, not seeing it. "It's gone." "Correct. Alright, now that I know you can see in the dark, let's do the rest of this in the dark. I hate the light, way too blinding." I agree and we begin doing more training.
