"I can hear his thoughts and see his fears."
I winced and looked back to my passenger at Dream Walker's words. Todoroki's face was barren of emotion, and in realizing that we were close to Midoriya's location, I pulled the both of us out of the shadows and gave back Todoroki's physical body — taking him away from Dream Walker.
"You okay?" I asked as he caught his breath. I dropped the hand of his that I still held onto.
"Yeah," he replied quickly as we sped down the alley we arose in. "We're close to Midoriya, right?"
I pulled my phone out of my pocket and opened the wide spread message Midoriya had sent to class A. The distance between his and our location was only a few meters apart, and taking from the shouts and sounds of struggle in the distance, we were gaining on him.
"Yes," I confirmed, sliding the device back into my pocket as I led the way. "Just a bit further now."
"Why did you stop your shadow traveling?" Todoroki asked hurriedly as we ran.
"A... warning sign popped into my head," I replied evenly. "And you didn't look like you were holding up too well."
"I was fine." He lied, but I didn't say anything as we rounded a corner.
In doing so, the scene of three bodies laying sprawled on the flood fell before us. Promoting my eyes to widen drastically, a skinny figure of a messily dressed man holding a sword over Iida's head played right in front of me.
"Todoroki." I breathed harshly as I arched forward, ready to attack. Without a word, he used his left side and fired flames to Iida's assailant.
The man adorned in blades jumped out of the way just in time, and to my relief, Iida was left unharmed all for the wound on his left shoulder.
"One after another..." said the man, who I now saw had a bandage like mask on his face. "There are a lot of people getting in the way today."
"Midoriya, you need to give us more details in times like this," Todoroki said, holding up his mobile. "You made Yuki and I late."
"T-Todoroki... Osoroshi, you too?" Iida managed from his sprawled out position a few feet away.
"Why are you here...?" Midoriya followed. "And Todoroki, you're using your left side..."
"Why? That's my line," Todoroki replied humorlessly as he put out his fire. "It took Yuki and I a few seconds to figure out what you mean since you sent your location info and nothing else. You're not really one to send that for no reason."
As my 'partner' spoke, I took the time of negotiation to use my ice to slide the three unable bodies behind Todoroki and I — of which consisted Midoriya, Iida, and a pro hero I neglected to recognize.
"You meant that you were in trouble and to call for help, right?" Todoroki continued as I retrieved them. "Don't worry, the pros will also get here in a few minutes."
Todoroki went ahead to attack who I had assumed to be the notorious Hero Killer whilst I stayed back to examine how serious the three victims wounds were. Instinctively, I crouched down beside Iida first.
"W-why are you.. here?" Iida asked through clenched teeth.
"Midoriya's warning," I replied, leaning down to look him in the face. "I assume you're to blame for this?"
His eyes narrowed and he avoided my gaze.
"Tenya," I sighed, setting a hand on his metal-plated back. "What were you thinking?"
