For five days, Adelaide had me pushed into getting fitted for flashy dresses and getting my hair and makeup styled in different ways. She had me excused from work so I could spend as much time as possible at her studio before the fashion show. Krysta was constantly visiting and kept taking pictures and complementing Adelaide's clothing and how "extremely cute and adorable" I looked.
And now, for once, I could relax. Adelaide was assisting in decorating for the fashion show, and her workers were finally done with the outfits they wanted me to wear, so I could go home and take a break.
As soon as I was in my room, I stripped to my boxers and put on a comfortable pink hoodie. I laid in bed and scribbled in my sketchbook while listening to Melanie Martinez songs and snacking on caramel filled chocolate. Félix laid by my side half asleep, getting up at random to just wander around or to get a drink from his water bowl. Half way through my sketch I finally realized what I drew and blushed. I was so obsessed with him...
I hummed the songs that played while I sketched that beautiful face, until I heard my phone vibrate. I already knew who was calling me. I answered with a smile.
"Hey, Ryder!"
"Hey, lil' Red~" That was his nickname for me. "What are you up to, we haven't hung out in a while,"
"Oh, I'm just chilling at home. I finally have a break from my sister!" I said.
I heard Ryder laugh. That was probably my favorite sound in the whole world...
"Is it cool if I come over? I don't work today, and I'm really bored,"
My heart skipped a beat.
"Y-Yeah! Head over whenever!" I said.
"Cool, see you in 20 minutes,"
"Ok! Bye bye!"
He hung up. I practically jumped out of bed to clean my room up. I threw clothes in my closet and put art materials away in my art studio. When I was done, I had the feeling I was forgetting something, and then I realized I still had no pants on and hurried to find some. By the time I jerked on some shorts, I heard the doorbell. I went to the door and was instantly greeted with a warm smile and those chocolate eyes.
"Hey, Lil' Red!"
"Hey, Ryder!" I smiled at him and let him inside.
"You've got a really nice place. It's just you here?" He asked as he pulled off his jacket.
"Uhhh..." I had never actually seen him without long sleeves.
He wore a tank top under his jacket and his arms had some light biceps that looked like thick, caramel apples. I wanted to bite them...
"... y-yeah it's just me today..."
"You sure?"
I snapped out if my minor trace when I noticed Félix was rubbing against Ryder's leg.
