For those of you who have read my book Howling at the Moons you probably have an inkling of what this One-Shot is in reference too, but I'll remind you with the small excerpts from the 2 chapters listed below:

CH 17: Pre-Dinner Conversations

Ming:

Ming turns to leave, but stops before he opens the door, "P'Pha please remember that this is Yo and not just your mate. Although he's been very sheltered, he is not as innocent as he looks. Trust me, I made sure of that." He says with a mischievous smirk. "Just keep him out of trouble, ok?"

CH 25: Taking Him in Hand

Wayo:

I knew my mate was pretty much guaranteed to be a guy. My dad might think I still didn't know, but there was no way Ming was going to keep it from me when he accidentally found out. He teased me endlessly about it, but he also made sure I was informed about how things would work. Thank God for Ming and gay porn or I might still be completely clueless about what would happen.

This is a part of the story I had to be cut because I just couldn't figure out where to fit it in. It was a cute interaction between Ming & Yo but had no bearing on the story line so unfortunately it had to go. Luckily as I'm editing the book, I'm running across some of these cuts and snippets and expanding them.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

MING'S POV

As I'm walking through the backyard of the pack house I hear the Alpha's voice coming from the direction of the Garden. Good. He's exactly who I was looking for. I need to talk to him for a few minutes. Hopefully he's not discussing something important and I can interrupt.

Nearing the side of the house, I can hear both voices clearly now and recognize the second voice as Alpha Jamornhun, Forth's father. That probably means I shouldn't interrupt them.

Damn! Of course, Forth's father is here, I saw Forth not too long ago with Wayo in the music room. Way to think things through Ming, I tell myself as I smack my forehead lightly. I guess this matter will have to be kept on hold until after Alpha Jamornhun and his son finish their visit.

Fine. I better go and stick my nose into the music room and see what Wayo and Forth are doing anyway. He's been visiting Yo all the time lately and it's starting to get on my nerves. Sure, kids from the other packs come to visit Wayo, that's expected. I mean Pha was just here yesterday with his older brother, but Forth is here sometimes three to four times a week.

However, before I can turn away, a snippet of conversation catches my attention and freezes me in my tracks.

"... of course, it would be Ming, if the Goddess chooses Wayo's mate based on time spent together. However, I think my son would come in a close second." Alpha Jamornhun states with a chuckle.

"Yes, lately, I do believe I've seen as much of your son as I have of my own." Alpha Panitchayasawad responds with a touch of sarcasm, then laughs too.
