CH 52: The Claiming of Yo   (Part1)

PHA'S POV

"Why wouldn't Ming want you to know I found my mate?"

Yo blushes bright red and glances at me then away, "Because he knows it would've hurt me. He knows I've loved you for years, P'Pha. Since we were kids." He pauses looking down, and I let his answer sink in. He's loved me for years. My wolf is howling in joy inside of me.

WAYO'S POV

When I open my bedroom door I see Ming waiting for me in the hallway, "Ready for breakfast?" he asks as he falls in step beside me.

"Yep." I answer through a big yawn.

"Geez! Did you even brush your teeth? Never mind. What do you have on your schedule for today?"

"Just the normal stuff I believe. I'll spend some time in the kitchen after lunch and I have to meet Tasha this evening for training. I don't think I have anything in between."

"Ah, I see. So, you forgot."

"Forgot what?" I ask turning to him.

He's wearing a cat ate the canary smile when he stops in the middle of the hall to survey me. "That Alpha Kongthanin is coming today to see your father."

"WHAT?" I yell and look down at my clothes. I'm wearing a pair of beat up sweat pants and an old t-shirt since I was just going down to grab some breakfast before sneaking back upstairs with the food. Turning around I run right back into my room to change clothes and brush my hair and teeth as Ming and his laughter follow me down the hall.

Am I excited because Alpha Kongthanin is coming to visit? Nope. I'm excited because when Alpha Kongthanin comes to visit he always brings his two sons with him. Why does that matter? Because his second son is one of my favorite people in the world.

My mind in bubbling over with enthusiasm and I can't focus on picking out something to wear. My brain keeps distracting me by chanting over and over: Pha is coming today! Pha is coming today! The thought makes me so happy, I don't know what to do with myself.

After throwing half of my clothes on the floor as I dig through my closet looking for something to wear, Ming takes pity on me and helps me pick out a simple pair of shorts and a nice button-down shirt to wear.

"Isn't this to casual?" I ask.

"What do we do when Pha is here?"

"Well, there's almost always a basketball game and then we go for a run and..."

He interrupts, "Can you do those things dressed up?"

"No. Ok, I get it." I acknowledge as I head to the bathroom to change.

A few minutes later we're walking back downstairs for the second time. When we hit the living room, I see my dad shaking hands with Pha's dad and his older brother, but I don't see Pha. Taking a quick look around, I finally spot him heading out the patio doors with about six or seven other boys from our pack.
