S Y N O P S I S

Emma Russo has it all: popularity, beauty, smarts, a relationship with the captain of the football team, and a co-captain position on her school's cheerleading squad. Yet, Emma isn't quite sure where her life is headed, and she can't shake the feeling that something is missing. Besides, being loved by everyone else doesn't equal loving yourself. And her junior year isn't making it any easier.

When a certain struggling writer decides to step foot in Emma's family bakery one afternoon, her life takes a sudden and unexpected shift. And perhaps this handsome writer is exactly what Emma needs to finally figure out who she is outside of her high school's walls.

I'm going to be honest, I've been through a lot recently, and in going through these things, I've learned a lot about myself. I have a lot to say now, a big message for every teen out there struggling to find their place in this big scary world. I don't know any other way to get this message to you but to simply write, so that's what I'm going to do. I hope you all can enjoy it and hopefully take something important away from it in the end.

I want this to be for you. Please remember that what happens today is only a small portion of your life, and you can get through anything you put your mind to. You are strong and important piece in this world. Don't forget that.

Also, to Mom, Dad, and Francesca for supporting me through my roughest times. They say you can't choose your family, but I am so glad God gave me you.

And to Nellie, for being my #1 fan always and always being there for me through the entirety of our lives so far. Here's to many more years of being best friends! Hopefully one day this writing of mine that you never give up on will pay off somehow! ;)
