CHAPTER 8:CHANGES

The next morning I woke up feeling great, I skipped down the stairs and went to the kitchen, I met Nicholas drinking coffee he was in a tux, I bit my lip he looked hot!😻 I shrugged my mind off the thought and greeted him "good morning" I said he nodded and started saying some things about his job and a ball which I mostly decoded as BLAH!"...... so the law firm is having its 50th anniversary and we're blah blah blah and throwing a party and blah blah you're coming".....waaaait!recap! COMING!? I wanted to protest but he looked at me questionably and I reserved my comment. He then looked at me and actually asked me in a caring way"are you feeling well? Do you need a doctor?" I nodded 'no' and he then said in a childish but caring way "here coffee'll make it better" and he offered me his coffee cup,I accepted it and when I took it from his hand he blushed 😳aww! When he noticed I noticed he put on his serious face and left for work.
Nicholas POV
when I handed her my coffee cup and she took it I blushed.... Yh I know girlish right?, but the main thing is she noticed!DAMN! she must think I'm such a lady! Anyways I tried covering up and put on my serious face and left for work but before then she had had her laugh.
....later that evening....
Rebekah POV
Later that evening, I got a dress delivered to my door,it was from Nicholas,the letter read:
I will be coming a little late this evening so please just be patient with me love

I blushed and giggled,I was fantasizing a Happy life with Nicholas, but my daydream was trashed by Janice who barged in with disturbing news "Madame! The boss had an accident! He's in the hospital!" She squealed,I gasped and replied her panicking"okay I'll get my coat, get a car ready I'll be down soon" she nodded and left. Just when Nicholas was changing, just when there was beginning to be a spark between us,he had to have an accident damn it! I thought while grabbing my coat.
Nicholas POV
I had just sent her the dress she would wear to the anniversary and I informed her I was going to be a little late. After packing the files together I grabbed my coat,turned off the lights and headed to the parking lot, as I got there I got hit by a car and fainted. I woke up in a hospital the doctor told me what happened and that the woman who hit me was the one who brought me here I nodded then told him I wanted to see my wife,she was all I could think about I could've died and she'll think I never wanted to take her to the ball."my wife Rebekah Rimus I want to see her "I said weakly the doctor nodded and left.

I and Janice finally arrived at the hospital,seeing a secretary I rushed over"where is my husband Nicholas Rimus" I asked anxiously"how are you related to him?"the nurse asked "I'm his wife! You dummy!" I shouted she nodded and told me his room I took to my heels with Janice tagging along when I finally got to his room what I saw broke my heart into pieces!
