James knew he wouldn't survive the war he didn't tell his beautiful wife these thoughts, didn't want to scare her so here he was two days before Halloween holding his precious baby boy while putting a strong ancient blood ward he read from the potter library hoping he gives the light of his eyes the chance to live, it pains James that he won't see his son get his Hogwarts letter, his son's wedding and his grandchildren but he is glad he has Sirius as Harry's godfather.
