Yep, it's me again since Solienna is busy yet lazy. We've been working on bringing back a story I started but deleted way back when on my account @CatTheStrange. It was the one that made us friends. Now, we're recreating it, and you bet your bow it'll be epic! Even though we procrastinate a lot.

Anyways, today I'm going to talk about (a.k.a. rant about) the College of Winterhold!

So, my newest two characters, Althea and Keslen, are both mages, and so I've spent a lot of time on College quests. And those quests are too easy. Like seriously, go get some books back from come rogue mages? Piece of cake. The only hard thing in the quests is the light puzzle in Mzulft. And the key to that is press the right button until the plate is at the 1 o'clock position, press the middle one until the plate is at the 11 o'clock position, and the left button should make the plate go to the 3 o'clock position. Then, use frostbite or flames until the light is in the right spot.

Next point: The college has a lot of people, but my favorite (*marryable) character is Brelyna Marion. The perfect Dark Elf apprentice who tries (and fails) to test a couple of spells on the Dragonborn. I was like, "Well, yeah, she's cool, so she can test the spells on Keslen." and when she messed up it was kinda cute. But of course, that character was already married as part of an actual story of mine. So that's how I got Althea. Moral of the story: Brelyna is amazing and the best girl in Skyrim, and don't marry a character you don't like, like Ysolda.

Okay, but all in all, the College of Winterhold is great. When you become Arch-Mage, and you get Savos' quarters, that room is better than any house in all of Skyrim. (Unless you have the Hearthfire thing, then there are definitely better places to live.) And you have a Thieves' Guild contact on the premises, which is Enthir. So if you steal from your comrades, you can sell it to Enthir before the guards can dream of being notified.

My word of advice to you friends is if you jump off of the bridge to the College, make sure that there is water to break your fall down below. Because if it works, it's epic. I used to jump off the bridge to the Imperial City in Oblivion, but the Winterhold bridge is cooler.

May your tongue stay forever sharp, fellow mages.

(Side note from Adri: The College quests are only easy if you play on Novice, milk-drinker Cat. You want a challenge, switch your difficulty to Expert or Master. Hmmph.)
