Kick! My brother landed a solid kick on Eren's face. I heard a groan as Levi kicked Eren in the stomach.
"You're not in need of a talking to. What you need is to be taught a lesson," he kicked Eren in the head. I was shocked. No one expected this to happen.
Eren's tooth flew out of his mouth and landed on the floor. Mikasa started to walk towards Levi, but Armin grabbed her arm. Eren wasn't trying to fight back. He just looked down.
"Sir," Commander Erwin said. "I have an idea."
"Go ahead."
"Let Eren join the scouts. We can keep an eye on him there."
I kept looking from Eren to Commander Erwin.
The judge thought for a moment. "Fine. Eren can become a scout. However, if his mission fails, he will be given to the Military Police."
I opened my mouth to speak, but Armin clamped his hand over my mouth. "Hey!" my voice was muffled. "Let me go!"
Armin only let go of Mikasa and me when Eren left the room.
*Timeskip 30 minutes later* Eren's P.O.V.
"Open your mouth!" Hanji squealed.
"Why?" I asked.
"I want to see your tooth."
"Okay..." I opened my mouth. Hanji looked insane.
"Your tooth...it grew back."
Levi sat down next to me. "So, Eren, do you hate me?"
"No," I replied. "I understand your reasoning."
"Well good. We won't have a problem."
I nodded, slightly intimidated.
*Timeskip: Two days* Lelia's P.O.V.
"It's alright, Jean. Don't cry," I patted Jean's shoulder. Jean's eyes were red and puffy as he cried.
"Marco's dead and it's all my fault!" he wailed.
"Shhhh..."
Eventually he stopped crying. "Have you decided which regiment you're going to join yet?"
I nodded. "The Survey Corps."
He nodded. "Me too."
"Levi told me not to."
"Levi? Levi Ackerman? How do you know him?"
"He's my brother."
"What? How? He's way older than you!"
"Yeah."
"There you are," Armin walked in.
"Hi, Armin," I greeted.
"It's time to choose which regiment you're going to join."
"Come on, Jean. Let's go."
"Okay," Jean stood up.
We walked to the training area. Everyone was already there. We stood at attention as the commander or the Survey Corps gave his speech.
Soon people who were going to join the Garrison and Military Police filed out. My knees shook as I looked around. I can do this. Everything will be alright.
The number of people grew smaller and smaller until only Survey Corps members remained. Armin, Mikasa, Jean, Connie, Sasha, Ymir, Krista, Reiner, and Bertholdt.
"Alright soldiers," Commander Erwin said. "Welcome to the Survey Corps. We leave for base first thing tomorrow."
I felt a grin form on my face. Tomorrow I would see Eren and Levi.
The cadets walked back to temporary housing.
"I actually did it," Connie kept muttering. "I actually joined the Survey Corps."
It was fifteen minutes before I crashed on my bed, the excitement of the day leaving my body. My eyelids felt heavy.
At about three in the morning I woke up to the sound of the door opening. I felt a hand clamp over my mouth and my eyes close.
I woke up in a bright room. Sunlight filtered through the window.
"Hi, sweetie," a man's voice said. "Glad you're awake."
"Who are you?" I grumbled.
"Lelia, I am your father."
"Liar."
The man grew angry. "No."
"Prove it. How did you meet Mom?" I crossed my arms, noticing that they were chained.
"I was on duty in Shiganshina. Well, I got bored...and your mother was very pretty..."
I felt a chill run down my spine. "Disgusting."
