Levi's P.O.V.
"Disgusting," I growled as I angrily cleaned my office. My brotherly instincts had kicked in quickly.
There was a knock on the door. "Sir, may we come in?"
"Yes," I snapped as I sat down at my desk. The door swung open and four people shuffled through.
"Sir, we found the guy," Jaeger said.
"Who is it?"
They pushed a recruit in front of them. A tall boy stumbled forward. I instantly recognized him. It was Jean Kirstein. He looked terrified.
"H-hello, Captain," he stuttered.
"Hello there."
Kirstein squirmed awkwardly.
"I understand that you're dating my sister," I continued.
"Y-yes, sir."
"She's too young to date."
Silence.
"Do you understand?"
"U-understand what, s-sir?" Kirstein was visibly shaking.
"Stay away from my sister," I said in a deathly cold voice.
"Yes, s-sir."
"Go."
Kirstein yelped and fled.
I looked at the others. "Good. Well now that is done, you guys can go."
"Yes, sir!" they exclaimed.
Eren's P.O.V.
"I survived," I sighed in relief.
"That was stressful," Armin agreed.
"You can say that again."
"Poor Jean. We kinda threw him under the horse."
"But he is one," Mikasa said.
"Hey!" a voice called. "Where were you guys?"
It was Lelia.
"Training," Armin quickly lied.
"Why didn't you invite me?"
"You're supposed to stay off your ankle," I said.
"Yeah, but I could have watched."
"I'm sorry."
"It's fine."
"Do you need any help?" I asked.
"No, I'm fine."
"Are you sure?"
Lelia was lying. "Yes."
"Then why are you walking away from the library without any books? You always check out at least one."
"I can't carry them."
"Then let me!" I started walking towards the library.
"It's okay. You don't have to," Lelia protested.
"But I want to, What books did you want to read?"
"Ancient wars, but it's fine. I can just read them tomorrow."
I opened the library door and held it open for Lelia.
"You really don't have to..." she said quietly.
"I told you I want to help you. No where are the books?" I interrupted.
She walked over to a shelf, her crutches making 'thud' noises on the wooden floor. "Here."
She pointed to a small red book about three-fourths of the way up the book shelf and to a larger gray one right above it.
"How did you get those down?" I asked as I got the books.
I kind of...jumped," she said.
"That's not good for your ankle!"
She looked down at her feet. "I know, there just wasn't anyone around to help me."
(A/N: MIND-ROTTING FLUFF AHEAD, MIGHT BE SLIGHTLY OOC)
I felt guilt run throughout my body. I should always be there to help her.
"Are you mad?" Her voice sounded so innocent it was almost child-like.
I smiled. "No...just guilty."
"Why?"
"I should've been there to help you."
She smiled. "Aww. You're a good boyfriend."
I felt my face grow warm. "So we're officially a couple?"
"I don't see why not," her smile grew even bigger.
I grinned back at her.
We checked out the books and walked out of the library.
"So why did you want those books?" I asked.
"Well...they look pretty interesting and history is fascinating," Lelia replied.
"You sound just like Armin."
"He is my adoptive brother. Everything I know I learned from him."
"Same here. He taught me about outside the walls."
Lelia stared at the huge walls that protected and also caged us. "Make me a promise."
"Sure."
"One day we'll leave these walls and see the world."
"I promise."
She turned back to me. "Thank you, Eren."
