"I'm a speaker, I've talked in conferences and what-not but I've never been able to put the words down... It just doesn't flow, you get me?" Timi said
You're definitely not the first one to say that! You know what my response was?
"Take a pen."
You want to write? Take a pen.
That is the first step to writing. Even when it's just a simple essay given to you as an assignment, take a pen - and a book too, of course.
It has been proven by research specialists, medical doctors and most importantly the bible, that, everyone is made up of the spirit, soul and body. The soul is our sole focus in this context.
The soul consists of the mind. The mind is the area in which we have our thoughts and imaginations. While the thoughts have to do with words, our imaginations deal with pictures. The essence of the education of the soul is to clear the doubt that some were born with more intellectuals than the others. As much as some people have talents in some areas than others, everyone is capable of everything when mixed with purpose and determination and of course acquirement of skills to help in your area of interest.
     Take a pen.
Everyone is capable of thoughts and imaginations as established earlier, so when you take a pen, immediately put down your first thought on they particular subject your are interested in writing about. It, most of the time isn't useful at the beginning of your article or book but trust me, you'll need those words as you progress in your write-ups.
