"Where am I?" I questioned the brightness.

My first reaction was to cover my face with my hands; but my arms didn't respond.

'WHAT'S GOING ON?' I screamed in my head.

I couldn't feel Ash's presence anymore but I knew I wasn't alone, I didn't know if I should feel safe or terrified.

The light started to fade away all around me.

"James?" A strong masculine voice called out and suddenly I was in a room with tall windows and a high ceiling.

"Yes father" my mouth moved but my voice didn't come out and I had no control, I sounded like a small child.

I couldn't control my body as I walked across the room to kneel before my father and hear what he had to say.

I also couldn't stop the fear and confusion that pooled over me as I saw my own reflection; atleast I thought it was me, but it was Ash's reflection as a small child.

Looking back at me from his father's stale blue eyes.

"It's almost time James. Get your things; were leaving soon" my father spoke sturnly and although I knew somehow I was in Ash's mind; I could feel deeply inside that wherever they were going, Ash didn't want to go.

"I dont want to!" Ash replied stubbornly.

His father was soon in my face.

"YOU NEED THIS TO BECOME ALPHA OF MY PACK" he yelled in my face.

"But I'm only 8 father, Im not supposed to start until Im olde-" Ash sounded scared when  he explained this to his father.

Seems perfectly rational to me, the kid's too young to train and fight but by the look on his fathers face Ash's response was considered back-talk, which is why Ash's words trailed off and suddenly I could feel the tears running down his face.

He wouldn't whipe the tears away and tried not to whimper for it would annoy his father to show so much weakness, but it seemed his father had enough and his palm connected with the side of his sons face.

I realised I could feel what Ash felt and see what Ash saw and It really hurt, my father never treated me nicely either, but those are the nighrmares I try to push aside everyday.

The force of the slap was hard enough to throw Ash's small body across the room, It feels like he's broken his jaw, it's so painful but Ash is strong and he's fighting to ignore the pain.

I blink my eyes and am standing before an open field, I looked down to see I still have Ash's shade of skin and can no longer feel my hair that falls just past my shoulders.

"James Ashton!" My fathers rough voice boomed from across the room.

I'm still somehow in Ash's body but can no longer feel the pain in my jaw.

Although we are just in a training room; and theres nothing in here to show my reflection I somehow feel that Ash is older now.

"If you dont learn to do things my way, there will be conciquences" my father told me with a warning tone and a disapproving glare.

I could feel Ash gulp and suddenly his body went stiff,

Something told me that the conciquences would be severe and that something was the hundreds of flash backs of the physical and mental abuse Ash's father put him through over the course of his whole childhood until he was thirteen.

Ash was trying to shift into his wolf form, something about it feels very routine to Ash but it wasn't his choice, I could feel the physical strain it was putting his body through to force it.

He still wasn't ready yet and I could feel all of his pain as he pushed himself to the point where his legs and rib cage snapped and both his shoulders popped out of the joints.

Ash collapsed and through the searing pain we are both experiencing it's hard to piece together what Ash's father is trying to say; all I can hear is a shit tone of swearing and yelling.

However it seems that all the yelling and swearing from Ash's father is fueling Ash's anger enough for his wolf abilities to take over and its not long before he is fully healed.

Ash's dad is back in my face again, yelling, swearing and spitting all at the same time.

This isn't how a father should treat his child, at least that's what I was told when they took me away from my father.

Ash just looks like hes used to it and also sick of it, he just kneels there on the floor where he recently collapsed and takes everything his father does like he has no other choice.

I can feel his body getting warm and his body starts to tremble, he can't hear or see then suddenly the darkness leaves and the training room is painted red.

"What have I done?" Fourteen year old Ash trembles and the scene before me melts away.

I can feel Ash in front if me again, like he never left, or did I go somewhere?

He's gripping my shoulders super tight and staring intently into my eyes, he stops shaking my body which I didn't even realise he was doing; Ash looks completely freaked out.

Ash finally gets the courage to speak after staring at me with crazed eyes and frantically looking me up and down like I jumped out of a horror movie.

"What are you?"
