Fighting Blind

Maisys pov
"Unfortunately, there's one crucial difference to teaching you how to fight blind." Deucalion spoke 

"We're not really blind." I said

"Why does that matter?" Aiden asked

"Unless you spend the next few days walking around wearing a blindfold, all the Anuk-ite really has to do is get you to open your eyes." Deucalion said

"So we keep our eyes shut." Malia protested.

"You think it's that easy? What happens to your eyes when you're afraid? They open wide. To gather more light and send more data to the brain so you can better handle whatever threat lies in front of you." Deucalion explained

"I can keep my eyes closed." Malia assured

"Well, go ahead, close them." Deucalion instructed. Once malia closes her eyes Deucalion hits the container causing malias eyes to pop wide open.

"You're dead" Deucalion comments.

"What's next?" I asked 

"In schools for the blind, it's called "sleep-shade training. " We'll use regular blindfolds. And we'll start with echolocation."

"Sound." I commented

"Then I'll show you how to use thermoception."

"Heat."

"Equilibrioception." Looked at me trying to test my knowledge

"Balance" I replied

"And proprioception." 

"Pressure" I told the other three confused wolves.

"Normal humans use echolocation by creating sounds, like clicking the tongue against the roof of the mouth. Since your hearing is a hundred times more powerful, you can pick up natural reflected sounds." Deucalion spoke clanging his stick against the metal shipping containers.

"I definitely heard that." Scott said

"But does it tell you where I am?"

"Yes" I said 

"Don't listen for me, listen for the echo, for the sound reflections. Use it to find me.You all have superior hearing. You need to focus it like a weapon."

"I'm not feeling so superior right now" Malia said as she banged into a container causing me to laugh.

LIAMS POV
"They brought them in yesterday." Nolan explained looking at the people in hospital beds.

"Who are they?" I aksed

"I, I don't know, but they brought them in last night. Do you know what that is?" Nolan asked

"Wolfsbane." I said looking in the peoples drips.

Lydias pov
"They haven't been here. Maybe we should go to the school." I said to peter talking about Scott and Malia 

"Lydia, you never said why you were waiting for Scott." Peter asked

"Last night, I woke up saying two words that might just be from a dream, or it might be something else." I explained 

"What two words?"

"Where's Jackson?"

"That is disturbing on multiple levels. What else? Lydia, don't hold back on me, I never held back on you." 

"I saw you Turned to stone. I was in a storage container. It was steel. There was a blue wall. I saw everyone, even Derek, Aiden and Ethan. All of you turned to stone. All expect Maisy I saw her with the Anuk-Ite but I didn't see her turn to stone."

"Do you ever see anything remotely optimistic?"

"It's optimistic if you prevent it. "

"Storage con Do you mean shipping container?"

"Yeah! I was surrounded by them."

"I think I know where that is."

"Then you know how to find Scott." I added.

Maisy's POV
"In humans, thermoception is done mainly through the skin. You have temperature receptors that pick up the changes in heats and cold. The eyes of werewolves are particularly effective at picking up heat." Deucalion said

"Well, what do we do without our eyes?" Scott asked

"Focus on your skin, the minute temperature changes." I stated

"Maisy I think you can take your blindfold off now" Deucalion stated as I removed the blindfold.

"Now, scott, malia,turn to face each other. Malia, try to hit Scott."Deucalion spoke 

"Seriously?" Malia asked 

"Yes, seriously. You came here to learn to fight. Kick his ass." Deucalion said . Malia throws a punch and hits scott in the stomach making him groan, from beside me I notice Aiden taking his blindfold to watch.

"Uh, okay." Scott groans as Malia chuckles

"What am I supposed to do now?" Scott asks

"Defend yourself." Deucalion and I say. Scott and Malia figth each other miserably.

"Maybe I should have kept my blindfold on" I chuckled just as Malia puched scott in the face.

"Son of a bitch" scott groaned  

"Sorry" Malia said.

"Don't be sorry. Hit him again." Deucalion said Malia went to punch scott again but he ducked and Malia hit her hand into the concrete wall behind him, she groaned causing scott to take off his blindfold to see if she was ok, as Aiden and I laughed.

"Yeah, all right. I didn't think it was possible, but I'm, I'm actually starting to wish I was blind again." Deucalion groaned as Scott and Malia smiled sheepishly.

"Aiden, Scott, why don't you two give it a go? Be a little better this time Scott" Deucalion said.

"Don't hurt my mate, Scott. Don't hurt my brother, Aiden"

"It's not going to be a very fun fight then" Aiden grumbled putting his blindfold back on and standing in defence in front of Scott.

"Go" Deucalion said as Malia and I winced every time one of them got hurt.

Liams pov
"Can't we just pull them out?" I asked Mason over the phone as I looked at the people with the wolfsbane drips in them.

"No, don't remove the IVs. You don't know what's gonna happen. Let Just, just wait till we get there. We're on our way." Mason assured, referring to him and Corey

"All right. Hurry." I said hanging up the phone.
