Trey in the mm
Trey's POV
Was she serious, I thought to myself as I walked back across campus to go to my room. I should have listened the other drum major who was also my roommate, Josh told me not to get caught up in the dancers but I couldn't help it, there was just something about her.
I honestly thought she was different, I remembered the first time I saw her during summer band tryouts. She had this spark in her eyes as she walked around the building introducing herself to everyone like they cared who she was.
Flashback...
I was walking around making sure that everyone was ready for the newcomers, we did not need a repeat of the mess we had last year. "Bro the tubas need help they missing part of the applications" Josh told me
"And why can't you do it" I asked, he had just as much authority as me around here but he was lazy as hell, that was my boy tho so it was cool.
He smiled "You know I'm really busy scoping out and making sure none of the ladies need help" he said popping his collar.
"Man get the hell out of here with that" I said to him and that's when I heard it, the cutest southern accent. I'm sure I looked crazy looking for where the voice was coming from and that's when I saw her.
She was a beautiful brown skin about 5'5 with this curly hair that was falling over her eyes, she had this huge smile plastered over her face "Hey I'm Zoey Elyse, I'm from Montgomery, Alabama" is what she was walking around telling everybody.
She had on a pair of white shorts and a tan tank top and who can blame me I had to look but she was filling out those shorts very well. I was trying to think of the right thing to say to her "Hey I'm Trey Jones the drum major" Nah that sounded to formal, I wanted to get to know her as more than just a drum major.
"Wassup girl, I'm Trey" what no that was horrible I couldn't say that, "Stupid Stupid Stupid"
I heard a little giggle behind me "You know whatever is going on I don't think you need to call yourself stupid", I heard the voice, it was her. I did not know I said that aloud, I turned around quick thinking I was going to say something funny in response but she was so much more beautiful up close.
She had big beautiful brown eyes with long lashes, and I got lost in them and I completely forgot everything I wanted to tell her. In that small amount of time, I think I planned out our whole life together hell I even picked the perfect engagement ring out in my head. Zoey Elyse Jones sounded really good.
She started waving her hand in front of my face until I came back to the present day, she laughed and it was like music to my ears "Hey I'm Zoey Elyse Ross and I'm here from Montgomery, Alabama" she said smiling and stuck her hand out.
Montgomery? I wondered why she didn't go to our rival school ASU, I had to be sure to ask her that one day. I reached out to shake her hand and my God it was so soft "I'm Tr, Tre, Trey" I got tongue-tied.
What the hell was going on with me today, this never happened, but all she did was smile at me again.
"Zoey what are you doing out here, get your ass in there in practice, introduce yourself after you've made the team" now that was a voice I knew very well. Victoria Ross was one of the forever dolls and she still came around a lot, her and her husband donated money all the time to our dance team but why was she yelling at Zo- oh fuck shes a dancer I thought to myself.
