Trey POV

I stood at the front of the large band room wiping some sweat from my face as I watched everyone pack up their stuff to leave. I was tired as fuck and attempted to not roll my eyes when one of the dance girls walked over to me. I really just wanted to go to the cafe grab some food and then take a nap.

I watched as she smiled and pulled her hair up, placing her hand on her hips afterward "Hey, Trey I don't know if you know me but I'm Taylor one of the dance girls" she told me twirling a strang of her hair. I soul searched my brain for any memory of her but came up short.

I looked at her for another moment before realizing that this was an awkward silence "Yeah, I know who you are, how could I forget you" I lied while smiling at her "What can I do to help you" I asked her not knowing what she would say.

The dance girls usually stayed separate from the rest of the band and we only saw them at games and when we had large practices, other than that we knew to stay out of their way. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what she needed from me.

"Well I was wondering if you could help me with some of my dances" she said standing a bit closer and batting her eyes at me.

Okay, I was taken aback, how the hell was I supposed to help her with dances!? Did I look like the choreographer from high school fucking musical to her?

"Aye Trey the band director need's you in his office" one of the trombone players told me and I silently thanked God for this opportunity to get the hell away from this girl.

As I turned to leave she grabbed my wrist "So can you help me" she asked once again while biting her bottom lip, she never released my wrist from her grip.

"Uhh yeah sure, I'll catch up with you next practice" I lied again, knowing I had no intention of ever meeting with her again, I gently yanked my wrist from her and jogged to the director's office.

"Wassup Mr.C" I said walking in and sitting on the edge of his desk, he looked at me with a very serious facial expression before shutting the door and taking a seat at his desk.

"Everything okay" I asked, knowing that this meeting could go out one of two ways and I was already expecting the worst.

I watched as he removed his glasses and pinched the bridge of his nose while releasing a heavy sigh "Trey you know that I would do anything for this band, right" he asked while continuing to look at the papers on his desk not paying me his full attention.

"Yes sir" I replied simply, honestly I just wanted him to get to the point because I still wanted to take this nap and this was in the way of that.

"We need some money for new instruments and it's just not in the budget" he said and I began to shake my head.

Mr.C had been linked to many cases of money going missing but I never believed the allegations until now and I did not want to be apart of any of this. If I were to get caught up in this mess I would have to let someone very near and dear to me down and I couldn't do it.

"Calm down Trey it's nothing illegal, this is far more easy than that. I just need your help to get it done" he told me and I sighed a breath of relief. I wanted to be able to help my band but I would not risk that type of trouble.
