I toss in turn in my sleep. One of those dreams that you want to wake up from, but just can't and its pretty scary. I find myself surrounded by shadow like creatures. They are black with a reaper like appearance. I can't see their faces but I know what there here for. Then I see the man that I met in the road. "They are watching Malachi. They are watching." I feel pressure and its like something is being taken out of me, then I wake up. Its already 6:00 in the morning. I sit up and shake the odd feeling off and get ready for school.

Same routine like yesterday. People are talking about me. I get called names, and Kalila seems to be avoiding me. That's ok, because I'm avoiding her too. During my P.E time I find that only the kids from this class are in here not the teacher. Its bad enough that I have Carlos in there, and here he is. He takes a couple of steps toward me and chuckles. "I'm so glad she rejected you, because if you ended up with her, which is not possible anyways, you'd wished you hadn't asked her out." I turned my head the other way. I wish I didn't feel so weak all the time. "What made you like her in the first place? Her boobs? She does have big boobs, don't she?" he walked around me casually thinking aloud. "She might be a D cup?.....hmpf oh well she still looks good. She needs a really good man-like me." he posed in a gentleman like manner. "She could never go for you-face it. I bet she's avoiding you now, since you freaked her out and all." I wanted to walk away, but he pulled me back not even using much force. "Are you getting mad? Am I-am I embarrassing you?" I saw my class slowly form into a big crowd. I felt my face get hot. "Oh I'm sowey, did the wittle boy get embarassed? What are you going to to do about it?" He got in my face. "You gonna hit me?" I glared into his eyes and my body surged with heat. My left hand sort of twitched, but nothing happened. Carlos let go of me and laughed. Other people kind of joined in. I felt so small. It didn't help either, since I wasn't good at sports. They made fun of the way I done chin ups. My arms wobbled and I couldn't even raise myself up. Next was when we did the blocks, I slipped and fell, injuring my leg. The gym teacher said I should go to the nurse to see if I was ok. I got a pass to go and listened to the giggling behind me.

I limped my way to the nurses office, which was quite a way to get there. I hadn't been paying attention  and ran into someone. I had a habit of looking down when I walked. "Sorry." I muttered not looking up. "Malachi?" I recognized that voice. I brought my eyes to Kalila, and then immediately looked down. "Hey. What happened to you? Did you get hurt?" "Yeah,I-injured my leg during fitness." I kicked at the floor. "Well I saw you limping, and the nurse is a pretty far. Do you want me to help?" She asked. I didn't know what to do. I stood there and moved my lips, but nothing came out. I felt dumb. I couldn't even read her expression. So I nodded quickly. "Ok then, here let me just grab your arm and-" She carefully took my arm and wrapped it around her shoulders. "Ok, now take slow steps with me." She told me. Slowly I made calm steady steps and then began to pick up speed. She warned me not to go too fast that I might make us both trip.

While we were walking a thought popped up into my head. I wanted to apologize for asking her out so suddenly. "Hey-uh, Kalila. I-uh wanted to apologize to you." Kalila seemed confused at first. She gave a slight frown tilting her head alittle. "Oh yeah, I remember..." "Yeah, I must have made you feel so awkward. We hardly ever talk to each other, but...." I would have said love makes you do crazy things but that would sound pretty weird, so I left it at that. "No, you didn't make me feel weird. I just didn't know what to do. I'm sorry I gave the impression like I was being stuck up, but I wasn't. To tell the truth, I wanted to apologize to you, but I figured you be too mad at me to even talk."  I nodded not knowing what else to say. I felt better now though. All that I felt about her being stuck up melted away. We reached the nurse's office. She was standing outside when she had seen us. "Malachi, are you ok?" "He got an injury from fitness." Kalila said as she handed me over to the nurse. "Oh well let me check it out. It won't take long." As Kalila walked away, I got her attention by telling her thanks. "No problem, and Malachi, if you need anything just ask ok?" I smiled "Thanks Kalila." "Come on, lets get you checked out." The nurse said gently pulling me inside the the office. I had butterflies again. When she told me that. Her sentence played over in my head. I guess now you could say we are on good terms. I feel like that cloud of emotions are gone and I no longer feel embarrassed. I feel like I cleaned things up, and its a good feeling to have.
