Prologue

Colin and I have been together for 4 years now and I couldn't be happier. He told me yesterday that he had to go to his grandfathers funeral in Florida for a few weeks. I honestly didn't want him to leave, but he needs to be with his family and I understand that. Our last year of high school together and he has to leave early. He won't even be there for finals so he is super busy studying. When he gets there he promised he would text me and send me a picture of him everyday.

He never did. He never texted me. He never sent any pictures he literally fell off the face if the Earth. I called him every hour of every day and night for three days. He didn't answer. I even managed to get his Aunt Melissa's number and he hasn't made it there yet. I instantly became worried. Where could have my Colin gone? He was supposed to be driving there! He was texting me while he was getting ready to leave! But now he is gone an no one knows where he is or where to find him.

It's been weeks now. None of his family has heard from him. I even called some of his buddies and they hadn't seen him since a day or two before he left.

His mother, Debbie, flew to Indiana from Florida to come see me she just wanted to make sure I was okay. But I was fine Colin was just missing and I told her that and she just smiled and kissed the top of my head with tears slowly dripping down her tan face. "He was in a car crash honey " she said it to me very slowly. " On his way up he was on the highway and ... a semi tipped..." She stopped and looked at me with cool blue eyes ,exactly like Colin's, and said "They found a wedding ring with your name on it Rose he was going to ask you to marry him" as she said this she smiled and sat down next to me. "He loves you. You know that?" I couldn't help but cry and everntually after calming I showed her my left hand.

I woke up screaming the bounds on my ankles and feet held me down as I struggled in my bed. "I NEVER GOT TO TELL HIM GOODBYE" I roared as the nurse injected some knock out into me. I finally rested.
