"Rose I-..."
I stopped him before he could say another word and smiled
"I know"
and he smiled that sweet smile that always drives me crazy.
"I- " before I could finish my sentence he dipped me and kissed me very softly just barely brushing his lips against mine.
I smiled and kissed him again running my fingers through his soft hair. Finally, after our embrace, I took his hand and we strolled around central park.
"Rose, sweetie do you want to get some ice-cream?"
"Of course! But where could we get ice-cream at this hour?"
He squeezed my hand lightly and led me to a small ice-cream shop.
"I have my ways..." he laughed lightly and kissed my forehead. "C'mon were gonna be late our ice-cream is gonna melt!!!" We rushed into the ice-cream shop.
The dining area was lit with white lanterns and white christmas lights streaming from the ceiling. There was only one table and two sundae glasses, the old fashin kind with small metal spoons. He led me to the rose covered table and pulled out my chair. He lit two candles and sat across from me.
"Waiter!" he called.
A kid with sandy hair and bright green eyes walts over with a silver tray.
"What will it be for you two?"
I couldn't help but giggle like a child in a ,well ice-cream shop. I smiled brightly at Colin.
"Order whatever you want babe" Colin said nodding approvingly smiling at me.
"Okay, well i'd love two scoops of strawberry ice-cream with three strawberries and strawberry syrup on top!" I giggled and Colin ordered chocolate chip with hot fudge on top.
After we ordered, he took my hands into his and winked at me.
"How did you manage all this?" I couldn't help but wonder.
He looked at me deeply "Well I figured since ice-cream is your favorite you'd like to go for a treat."
I laughed "So you got an ice-cream shop to put lights up and set the table and have a waiter stay extra late?"
"Of course! Why not? I helped set it up I had to make sure it was perfect for the most perfect girl in the world!" he laughed and kissed my hand. "Besides I had something I wanted to ask you but, you have to promise to say yes no matter what."
I looked at him puzzled and agreed to saying yes no matter what.
He slowly got onto one knee "Rose, I don't know how to tell you this..." He took both of my hands and squeezed them, "but I love you more than the light of the moon wanning on a rose, you are the highlight of my everyday and I want to spend every morning waking to your sweet face." he paused for a moment letting go of my hands to reach into his pocket.
He held out the box too me and smiled " Will you make me happy for the rest of my life, will you marry me Rose?"
Already in tears he hugged me after standing and kissed the top of my head. He gave me the most beautiful ring I had ever seen in my life. It was a diamond Rose with saphire gems placed around it on a golden band.
"Yes." I replyed with a smile and a tear streaked face as the waiter came out with our sundaes.
