Chapter 18

I sat in the living room with Lenny and Chance and also my parents as we caught up. Lenny told me he has a girlfriend named Anna and he'd love for me to meet her and I noticed he doesn't like Alec. Speaking of Alec he had to go to school today. Sadly.

"So Emma how old are you again sweetie?" Chance asked her. She lifted up three fingers. He smiled

"Why'd you change her last name Jessi?" I shrugged at Lenny's question "I don't want to be saying Carters I rather be used to Summers" He nodded

Right when Lenny was about to speak the doorbell rang

"I'll get it!" My mom yelled

We heard her greet someone and he walked in. Alec. He smiled and walked to me and sat down after shaking my dad's hand and Chance's also but Lenny just scoffed when he offered his hand. I sighed at Lenny's behavior. He's always wanted ME only with JAMES nobody else. He claims I'm James's not anyone else's I remember that's why I never called them. Mainly Lenny not Chance.

"I was wondering if you and Emma want to come over for dinner tonight with your parents?"

"I'd lo- Lenny raised his hand

"We're catching up." He said and glared. His brown eyes getting very dark.

"Lenny. Man. She needs to spend time with her boyfriend we'll hang out tomorrow Jess go." Chance smiled at me after ruffling Emma's curls she stomped on his foot and walked away with her Ariel doll.

"Isn't she just a barrel of sunshine!" He chuckled and Lenny muttered under his breathe

"Like James."
