Chapter 7

After the events that had taken place over the last couple of weeks with Braxton seeing me and the long hard choice of even letting him know me and then him and I working as a team to save a deer and her unborn fawn.

We had been great together while he had done most the work with killing the beast off and maybe the mother hasn't lived but the fawn did. He was living with me in my deer house, it wasn't a normal life for him to have but he loved it, I took care of him like he was a human being.

I hasn't named him yet but I was thinking of something, I wanted to name him something brilliant and kind and brave after all he was going to be a fearless buck I could already see it in his eyes.

And with the winter coming up, he needed safe keeping and this was a safe place with plenty of green and bark. Normally trees leafs fall down on the floor and the bark becomes dry and the groups of wildlife moved on but this Forrest didn't do that. The leafs never completely fell and the animals never left, with the pack of wolves here you would think not but I always kept them safe.

Right now I was sitting on my bed looking out to the Forrest with the wind slowly rocking my bed side to side and with a baby fawn in my lap would of thought my bed would of broke because he was heavier than he looked.

But no. For a week now I had cared for him and he mostly slept by my side while I patted his head and told him how great and fearless he would become. But my mind always wondered back to my wolf, to the beautiful man who had roamed the Forrest looking for me for a hole week.

He was trying to find my home but he couldn't and even though I longed for him, his touch and his voice. I had other things to be taken care of it was almost winter and I needed to make my home more liveable and warm for me and my new found friend.

I sat on my bed as I felt the wind blow it side to side as I watched the Baby deer try to get up, he had managed to lift his front leg up but he was having trouble putting all his weight on it and lifting himself up.

It was then he turned his head to me, he was staring right into my eyes even though he wasn't calling for help I could tell he needed it. I jumpd off the bed and walked right past him, I got on my knees a few steps ahead of him.

"Come on Boy" I held out both my hands, near his face and when he reach out for my touch I moved them away an inch and it seemed to be working, he was so aching for my touch that he had mange to get both front legs on the ground.

I stood up then watching him, the grin on my face was something I couldn't hide and wouldn't because I was so proud of him right now.

"You can do it!" I screamed in playful tone, clapping my hands and jumping up and down with excited, to me right now it looked like he was smiling he then made one loud noise and looked at his back legs and then his back legs started moving.

It took him serval goes but he was now on all Four long boney but strong shaky legs and he was about to take a step but he stopped, I then saw he was nervous and scared however know baby of mine was going to ever be scared.

I walked over to him, whispering words of praise to him while patting his neck. I stood in front of him and when he put his head up to look at me he made a heart breaking sound, it rang in my ears for at least a minute and I hide the tears in the back of my eyes. I softly rubbed my hand along his four head to the very tip of his cute brown nose.

My baby placed his head on my stomach and I had a brilliant idea, I pulled his face closer in so he couldn't see and he didn't seem to mind.

"What's there to fear if you can't see it" I hummed softly taking one step back as I waited for him to take one step forward.
