“Honey, why aren’t you sleeping?” My mom asked walking into my room and turning the light on. “I can’t go to sleep. I am too stressed…” I groaned sleepily. The truth was, I am afraid of not fitting in. Of course I’m my own person, but I’m still nervous.

“Darling, you have to sleep! You’ve got a big day ahead of you!” She said, and turned off the light and stepped out. I hear her sigh and walk away. Maybe tomorrow won’t be so bad? Eh, who am I kidding?

I pull out my booklet for the academy. I look through it one more time. So far, this place is taking up my entire year of sixth grade. It is from June 9, 2014 to June 9, 2015. So, a full year! I’m so happy!

Even though I don’t have a horse of my own, I’m sure they’ll be plenty of horses. I am so excited! Its starting to get me tired. *YAWNS* Maybe I’ll go to bed…
