We both stepped out if the car and starred at the place in amazement. (Is that a word?) The guy driving handed us of bags and drove off. "C'mon!" I smiled grabbing Carter's arm and dragging him inside. We both walked to the office type room and walked to the desk.
"Hello! Are you Brooklyn and Carter?" she asked smiling. We both nodded and smiled back. "Ok, Brooklyn you're on floor 3 room B7." She said handing me some books. I grabbed the books and started walking off down the hall.
"Brooklyn, wait up!" I heard Carter yell from behind me. I spun around to see Carter dragging his bags while attempting to run after me. He looked so weird and funny, I couldn't help but laugh.
He caught up to me in a few seconds and looked at me. I looked at him, then the the elevator a few feet from us, then back him. We both smirked and ran as fast as we could to the elevator. Lets just say he won and now I'm face first on the floor. Carter was too busy celebrating his victory to notice.
"Congrats bro, but please help me off the floor." As soon as I said it, he was already helping me. "Sorry." He said looking down on me. He's only like two inches taller than me. "Uh, we should probably go find our rooms." I said looking down. We both grabbed our bags and headed into the elevator.
We both walked into the long hallway with doors lining the walls. We both walked down the hallway and to our rooms. On the right side of the hall was a dark blue color and the left side a dark purple. If I'm correct, the right is the boys and the left is the girls. I walked down the hall next to Carter. I looked at all the golden numbers on each door for B7. I came across the door and turned to face Carter. His room was A7 so we're across from each other.
I turned back to the neon pink door and raised my hand to knock. My hand hovered in the air for a few seconds before I knocked. A girl about my age opened the door and smiled. She had stick straight blonde hair that fell loosely to the bottom of her back and she had pretty green eyes.
"Hi I'm Sierra!" She said smiling. "Hey! My names Brooklyn." I said smiling widely. "Oh! Your my roommate!" She said happily. She looked at something behind me. "Who's that?" she asked pointing to someone behind me. I turned around to see Carter staring at me. "Oh, that's Carter." I said pointing to him.
"What do you need Carter?" I said smiling. He came up and hugged me lifting me off my feet. Sierra looked like she was going to burst from laughter. "How long have you known each other?" she asked. Carter put me down and slung his arm over my shoulder.
"A few hours." I said chuckling. Sierra looked so surprised it was my turn to laugh. "Only a few hours?! You look like you two gave been friends since you were four!" She said laughing. "I gotta go, see ya!" Carter said waving to Sierra and ruffling my hair.
"Bye," Sierra and I said at the same time. "Come on, you need to unpack." She said moving aside so I could go in. I walked in to see a pastel pink room with two beds; one had hot pink pillows and a dark purple blanket.
"So, this is my side of the room," Sierra said pointing to her bed. I nodded and walked over to my bed, setting everything down. I pull out my pastel blue blanket and pastel green pillows. I layed everything out of my bed and put all of my clothes away in the walk in closet.
After an hour or two of Sierra helping e put this away, it was 7:00 pm. "Time for dinner!" Sierra said in a cheery tone. "Ok one sec," I said walking into my closet. Since it's cold out, I'd rather wear something warm. I slip out of my clothes and pull on a pair of skinny jeans and a navy blue long sleeve shirt.
"Ok, let's go. I'm starving!" I said more dramatic than I was going for. We both grabbed a jacket and headed down the hall. We met up with Carter and his roommate. We decided on taking the stairs since we have nothing to be late for. A little excersize never killed anyone, right?
On the way down, Sierra kept looking at Matt, who I figured out was Carter's roommate. "Hold up a sec," Sierra said stopping me from walking. She looked at Matt, then at me, and then Matt again. "No way!" I whisper yelled. "You like Matt!!" I yelled a little louder than I hoped. Sierra screamed and ran down the stairs, falling over Matt and Carter.
I ran down after everybody to see them all at the bottom of the stairs, everybody piled up. "Aww man! I left my camera in the room!" I said fake pouting. Carter looked so funny! "I'll just help you up now," I said rushing over to help them.
"Brooke, I'm so glad we're roommates," Sierra said before we headed off to the dining hall.
So, how did you guys like it? Is it too long? Sorry if it is, It took me three days to finish this because of school. Anywho, please comment and like! Please let me know where I need to improve! (The first half of it I wrote on the tablet)
Bye!
