Deep In The Meadow

As we walked into the Dining Hall, everyone became silent and all eyes were on us. "Just keep walking," Sierra whispered to us, looking behind her as if someone would throw something. We all walked slowly and silently to the table of food set out, and the whispering started. Along the tables were containers filled with a ton of foods; Macaroni and cheese, pizza, nachos, fruits, bags of ships, and so on. At the end of the tables of food, was a tired looking lady at a cash register. I grabbed two slices of pizza, a bag of chips, an apple, and some water.

Everyone grabbed their own food and headed over to pay for the food. I was first to go, handing my student card to her. Then Carter, Sierra, and finally Matt. We all got a table near the back, away from everybody.

"Sierra, do you have your own horse or are you leasing?" I asked, taking a sip of my water. "I have my own hose, she is so gorgeous! How about you?" She asked, taking a bite of her apple. "Oh, I'm leasing here. What's your horses name?" I asked Sierra, eating my pizza.

"Her name is S'mores, but her show name is Come Get S'more." Aww, that is so cute! At least she has a horse unlike me. "Aww, I bet she's adorable." Sierra smiled brightly and nodded so quick I thought she'd gotten a head-rush.

"Hey, Carter, what-" I was about to ask Carter something and then soe fake wanna-be Barbie interrupted me. "Ooh, look! New kids. And you're cute too, what a bonus!" She said in her fake high-pitched voice, looking at Carter. "Hey," Carter simply said slinging his arm around my shoulders. "Nobody invited you, Brenna." Sierra said harshly, glaring at 'Brenna'. I looked down at my food, not paying any attention to Brenna. "What's wrong? Is new girl a little sad?" She said, clearly talking about me.

"What was that, New Girl?" She said, and laughed after. "Leave her alone." I looked up in shock at Carter, no one has ever stood up for me before. Brenna stomped her foot like a little child and walked off to her table. "You okay?" Matt asked worriedly. "Uh, yeah. I'm...I'm not hungry anymore." I said getting up, causing Carter's arm to fall off my shoulders. "Wait!" Sierra yelled as I walked, more like ran, out of the dining hall.

(Magical skip to Carter's POV):

"Wait!" Sierra yelled after her, getting up to chase her. I grabbed her arm and pulled her back down. "I got it, I know were she is." I said getting up and chasing after Brooklyn. I ran down the long hallway and out the big doors, bringing me into the cold weather. I ran over to the big barn across from the school. I ran in and all of the horses heads popped out of the stalls, except the last one.

I walked over the the very last stall, which is at the very back of the 25 stall barn. I could hear her silently singing a song that I haven't heard before. I stopped at the stall door. I could hear her singing something like, "Deep in the meadow, under the willow...A bed of grass, a soft green pillow."

YAY! I fit some Hunger Games in there! That's my favorite song! I'm sorry if it's short, I've been buisy due to school. Hope you enjoyed! Drop a comment and hit the like button! Bye my fellow peeps!
