This is set in the future:

I can imagine Tord saying the first parts then pat saying the last parts and then Tord slowly fading away cause he's dead in the future

And Tord tries to manipulate pat to make him think he's real and he's gonna never leave him alone and pat gets scared constantly until he locks himself out from the world

Until he finally realises and Tord tries one last time and pat tells him that he isn't real and that if he just snaps his fingers (meaning: If he ignores him) that he'll be gone. With that, Tord becomes invisible because of pat starting to wipe him out his memory.

So then pat's sorta set free from Tord's chains of always using him and torturing him constantly without any mercy
