Ch.4 Texts & Midnight Vistits

Dan's P.O.V

After the girls left and Phil went to bed I went to my room to grab my laptop. When I walked into my room I heard my phone buzz with a text alert. "Sup nerd" it was Mandy,I quickly replied with "heeyy" (A/N: this next part is just their conversation)

D: Dan   M:Mandy

M: what's up?

D: being bored Lol

M: Lol same,Val's asleep so I'm alllooonnee

D: Lol why don't you come over here?

M: Dan I was just there 

D: so? you're bored, I'm bored, why not?

M: is Phil awake?

D: nope,just us

M: hmmm.....okay see you in 5

D: yay!

M: haha :) ;)

I set my phone down and waited in the living room for Mandy. 5 minutes later I heard a knock at the door, I opened to the sight of Mandy,in a LINKN PARK t-shirt and leggings, her chocolate brown hair in a messy bun,making her hazel eyes look big and beautiful. "Hey" she came inside, "hey" I said,closing the door and giving her a hug,which,to my surprise she returned without hesitation. We went to my room and hung out in there for most of the night "so tell me about you" I said,Mandy smiled shyly "what do you wanna know?" she asked "everything,I really wanna know you,Mandy" I said,looking into her huge hazel eyes and gently taking her hand. "Okay" she mumbled "Val and I are from New York, we lived in a small house with our parents before they died in a car crash when we were 16 and since we weren't adults yet,we stayed in a foster home 'til we turned 18. When we got out,we got jobs as waitresses until we worked up enough money. Then we moved to London to start fresh." Mandy told me,all the while still holding my hand,gently squeezing it every now and then. "Mandy" I said, she looked up from the floor, back to me "to much? Sorry,I start then I can't stop no matter how much I hate it and-" she babbled but I cut her off  "it's okay,you don't have to be sorry,most people wouldn't be able to talk about stuff like that" I touched her cheek as gently as I could "Mandy,you're strong and brave and fun and there are so many words to describe how incredible you are and that's why I wanna get to know you,because people like you,kind,smart,sweet people,are hard to come by these days. I honestly can't believe this isn't a dream" I told her and she smiled brilliantly "you and me both,I still can't believe 2 ordinary girls like me and Val get to hang out with you and Phil,now that right there,that's the dream" she said,I smiled,shaking my head "oh Mandy,you and Val are far from ordinary." Oh God. What am I doing? I'm over here with this gorgeous girl,poring my heart out like she could possibly return my feelings. Stupid! But, to my surprise,she didn't shy away,in fact,she smiled brightly,placing her hand,over mine,which was still on her cheek. "Dan I-"she started,but cut herself off  "yeah?" I urged and she started again again "I've been watching your videos for years and even though we'd never met,I felt like I knew you and I wanted to badly to really meet you,make that feeling a reality,and now...now I have" she told me. I was in shock,does Mandy like me? Does this beautiful,amazing girl have feelings for me as I do for her? "Do you wanna go out tomorrow?" I blurted out without thinking. Mandy looked taken aback "like...like a date?" she stuttered and I smiled crookedly "if you want it to be" I said. Mandy smiled her blindingly bright smile "where to?"  she asked and  grinned,joy overtaking my every thought. "Well,since you're new here,maybe a tour of the city and after we can come back here,order food and have a movie marathon?" I suggested,hoping she'd be interested. Mandy smiled brightly "I'd love that" she said,squeezing my hand again and kissed my cheek. I put my arm around Mandy as she leaned her head on my shoulder "Mandy?" "yes?" she mumbled "you really don't understand" I started,she leaned her head up to look at me quizzically "understand what?" she asked,confusion filling her voice. I took a deep breath and tried again "you don't understand how many times I've been rejected,judged,God knows,even completely ignored so when I saw you today I was  scared as hell that you'd do the same,but when I finally worked up the nerve to tell you I liked you and you felt the same,that's the happiest I've been in a long time" Mandy looked down at her feet,blushing a deep red,I put my hand gently under her chin,lifting it so she'd look at me again. "I'd never reject you" she mumbled shyly and I smiled "I'm glad I met you" I said and she flashed another incredibly brilliant smile "me too". With that,we watched movies all night until we both fell asleep, Mandy on my shoulder and my arms still around her.
