Ch.6 Sisterly Secret

Dan's P.O.V

When I woke up the next morning, Mandy was sitting up,smiling at her phone. "Mornin' sunshine" she said,noticing I was awake. "Good morning" I said "who are you texting?" she smiled bigger "Val" I laughed "telling your sister about your date with THE Dan Howell?" I joked and Mandy laughed adorably "maayybbee" she said 'God,she's beautiful' I thought. Mandy set her phone down on the nightstand beside the bed and lied against me,shivering a little "are you cold?" I asked,wrapping my arms around her. "Did you sleep at all last night?" I asked her and she shook her head "not really,I have a hard time sleeping,it's no big deal" I was going to protest but didn't see a point,if Mandy said it's no big deal then that's it. Mandy yawned,looking at me sleepily "if I fall asleep wake me up" she mumbled and I laughed quietly,nodding once and kissing her forehead.

15 minutes later

Mandy was fast asleep next to me and I was nodding off too until I heard her phone buzz with a text. I looked to see who it was and as I'd guessed,it was Val

(next is their conversation) DM: Dan on Mandy's phone   V: Val

V: Uh Mandy,it happened again x/

DM: Mandy's asleep,it's Dan,what happened?

V: oh um,nothing

DM: c'mon Val,you can tell me

V: okay,I'll tell you later,but right now I need Mandy

DM: okay I'll wake her

V: thanks Dan

DM: no prob

I set Mandy's phone down and turned to wake her. "Mandy" I said,shaking her a little "mmm"  she groaned sleepily "what?" she asked,rubbing her eyes as she sat up slowly. "Val texted,said 'it happened again' I have no idea what that means but I guess she thinks you do" I explained and Mandy's face went from tired to horrified in a split second. Mandy jumped off the bed,put her shoes on and ran for the door. I ran after her,blocking the way "woah! Mandy what is going on?! one second you were calm and the next you were running off like all hell broke loose!" I exclaimed and Mandy,panic still clear in her eyes,sighed "Dan,I promise I'll tell you everything but right now I need to help my sister before all hell DOES break loose!" she told me and I nodded."Okay" I said "but please,whatever it is,please be careful" I told her. Mandy touched my cheek gently "we'll be okay" she assured me and quickly,before I could even move,pecked my lips and ran off to help her sister.

Mandy's P.O.V

I ran across the hall to mine and Val's apartment to see the entire kitchen on fire and Val in the middle of it in a ball on the floor, he knees pressed against her chest and her head in her hands. "Val!" I yelled over the flames but she didn't move. "Valerie!!" I screamed again but still nothing so I ran into the kitchen,grabbed Val and ran out, putting the fire out with water. When all the flames were gone I ran over to my sister who was on a ball on the couch,sobbing. "Oh my God! Val what the hell happened?!" I asked,worried,looking  over her to see if she was hurt and thankfully finding nothing. Val still wouldn't talk so I hugged her tight,praying she was okay. "How did it happen?" I asked her and she gave me a terrified look that shattered my heart "I don't know" she mumbled "I thought I had it under control".Val and I aren't normal girls,we were born with abilities...powers Val can manipulate electricity, see glimpses of the future and heal people. Then there's me, I'm the weird one,I have absorption,meaning that if I touch anyone with powers,I absorb that power and I'm able to use it too,but before I knew that I just had telepathy. "I went to plug in my phone while I was eating,accidentally touched the outlet then it was like a dragon sneezed in our kitchen!!!" she yelled and I laughed a little. "we'll clean this up,then tell Dan and Phil why we were acting so psychotic" I explained and Val bit her lip "what if they think we're freaks when we tell them?" she asked and I shook my head,smiling "it's Dan and Phil...if anything they'll think we're superheroes!!" I said and we both burst out laughing. "Now" I said once we'd stopped laughing "quit worrying so much Val,it looks weird on you" I said as I pulled her off the couch with me. "Now,let's go tell the boys we're superheroes!!"
I said and Val took my hand as we went to tell Dan and Phil our sisterly secret.

Phil's P.O.V

I'd been awake for a while but only got up when I was sure Mandy was gone. When I stepped into the living room I saw Dan staring blankly at the door. "Uh,Dan?" I said "are you okay?" he turned to face me with a confused expression. "It's not me I'm worried about" he said,worry in his eyes, "what do you mean?" I asked. Dan sighed,closing his eyes to calm down a bit "Val texted Mandy saying 'it happened again' and Mandy panicked and ran out of the apartment like a frickin' road runner" he explained and I nodded "so we'll wait til they come back,and when they do we'll ask them what happened" I resolved and Dan nodded,sitting down on the couch and turned on Netflix.

Dan's P.O.V

After 2 agonizing hours of Netflix there was a knock on the door and I jumped up,opening the door before Phil could even move. I opened the door only to find 2 girls,hand in hand and covered in ash...Val and Mandy. Phil saw too and ran to the door, worry clear on his face as it was mine. "Oh my God,what happened to you two?!" I nearly yelled and the girls looked at each other then back at us. "We have to tell you something but..." she started "...you can't tell anyone" Val finished. Phil and I nodded once in understanding "follow us" Mandy said and with that we followed the ash covered  girls to their apartment.
