"Emily," Mrs. Norris called.
I was reading the Game of Thrones, when I got caught up with my name being called. Dammit. Why is there death in every wedding.
"Yes, madam. Is there something I can do?" I asked.
"Can you call out all the girls in your dorm later and ask them to go to the Buxton Room?" she asked.
I cringed. The Buxton Room that is least likely to be lived in, the room where guardians choose us. I hate that. I have always been rejected there.
There are 4 rooms as such. Buxton Room is for girls of our age. The room looks like a room from a horror movie set, very very terrifying. I walked out of the reading room (No, it is not a library.) and make my way to my dorm.
I knock the door and Fasha a.k.a the most stuck up girl in the who galaxy opened it. She's wearing sparkly shorts and a pink tank top with her pink-streaked hair tied in a ponytail.
"What?" she asked.
"Mrs. Norris asked us to go to the Buxton Room. Now," I demanded.
"Come on, girls. Let's meet our new guardians." she shouted at other 4 girls in our dorm, then hissing at me.
I was pushed aside every time each of them get out, so I ended up the last from our dorm. The other five walked in a line, like a four little ducklings following their mother duck. And of course, Fasha is the mother duck. I laugh at my own statement, and I have this bad, very bad habit of mine where once I laugh, I can't stop. I laugh like a hyperventilating walrus.
I kept on laughing, until Gina, the last one in the line looked at me like I am crazy or something. I stopped for a while until we get into the Buxton Room. And like always, the door shut in front of my face. I twisted the door knob and walked in, seeing the other five going crazy or something.
"OHMYGEEEEEEE IT IS 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER!!" Fasha screamed.
I know what it is called.
Fangirl.
"Who's 5 Seconds of Summer?" I asked. Don't ask me, I'm not open up to those things. I have books. I fangirl over boys in books.
"Then you better off cause you don't deserve to be here," Fasha hissed.
"Well, uh, okay. Bye." I said, walking back.
"Emily Elizabeth, how rude you are acting in front of our guests." Mrs. Norris reminded me.
"I'm sorry, madam." I said.
"Emily Elizabeth- such a nice name." the brunette asian looking guy said, letting a smile escape.
"Thanks." I said, "It's not everyday that everyone says you have a great name."
"Pleasure." he replied.
"Mr. Hemmings, Mr. Hood, Mr. Clifford and Mr. Irwin will be with all of you today and at the end of the day they will choose only one of you to be adopted. Fasha, Hailey, Diana, Melissa, Gina and Emily, please be on your best behaviour. All ten of you may leave the room now." Mrs. Norris smiled.
"Thanks." I said, and the only who said it.
"Come on, girls. Let's have fun," the blonde one, probably Mr. Hemmings called. The eight of them, excluding the brunette one, duck out.
"Emily?" the brunette one asked.
"Yeah," I turned around.
"Why don't you follow them?"
"I'm not really into them, you know. They're not my type." I said, escorting him out of the Buxton Room.
"I see. I'm Calum, Calum Hood." he said.
